Apparently none of them saw this coming. Anyone know why they're getting the chop ? Viewing figures down ?
I won't miss Matt Dawson.

Perhaps its a diversity issue.

I don’t mind it if it’s on, it’s getting ridiculous now though as all they want to do is get black sportsmen and woman on there, just so they are not seen as racist, fucking stupid in my opinion

David Haye, Dion Dublin, Dame Kelly . No, they're too old and none are diverse enough for the BBC.

I believe that TV is already diverse enough in terms of BAME representation... I think they make up 23 % of all casting.

What will happen going forward is over representation... And we can't have that can we... We are told

You cant oppress to reach equality, equality of opportunity is all we shoud strive to achieve and that's it

It could be, of course, that they want a younger panel for a younger, more diverse audience and it's more about having a lady as a team captain and someone from the LGBT community blah blah etc. Nothing more than that.

Is it really about diversity or just a convenient excuse to off-load expensive presenters and replace with cheaper ones?

It's probably about freshening up a tired show with new presenters.

Barker has been there 24 years, Dawson 14 and Tufnell 12 so the BBC is well within it's rights to try and take it in a new direction, a direction no one actually knows yet.

Quality OT tonight. Too many blacks on TV and too many women on TV. I await the finale to the trilogy I Don’t Mind All The Gays But The BBC Is Shoving It Down Our Throat.

Who remembers bus conductors eh? And shillings?

Have they announced the replacements yet? People were raging about Sky Sports sacking some pundits last week for definite box-ticking diversity reasons, Tim Sherwood then turned up in the studio.

Wishful thinking on your part. You actually sound like a racist twat . Where were you on race before George Floyd died ? Nowhere. Now you bang on all the time. You turn everything into a race issue and stir up racial shit more than most. Why not fuck off to your EU/George Floyd thread, which is all you really want to discuss 99% of the time. Alternatively, get a life.

The bigger scandals are Lineker getting £1.75m for a few hours' work a week and Zoe Ball getting £1.35m for playing music

Until these new apparent minority hires are actually made, the only thing that's actually happened has seen Matt Dawson taken off TV. So far so good

Which makes me think it's not about saving money, so what it's about I don't know.

Too busy trying to make it funny and turn it into a League of their own. Other shows with comedy like the thing Nick Hancock and Lee Hurst were on had their day. QoS should stick to it's audience and be a simple sports based quiz that it always was and has a core audience for those who like quizzing and sport. Simple format, but in fairness probably does need a refresh of the main characters, although not with Ellie Simmonds as a captain.

Fucking hell. If she thought Robins needed a taxi calling you’d think she’s the best thing since slice bread. Unfortunately for you she knows a thing or two about football so that ain’t going to happen.
