Hoping for a win, expect a draw.

No idea what formation we'll use. We clearly haven't stumbled upon the right one yet.

We miss AV, clearly, but also the loss of the old guard like Matty Godden has impacted too. His football wasn't Championship standard any more, but his mentality was. Someone else now needs to step up and demand more from their colleagues on the pitch.

Sounds like that was Basette but he got put on the naughty step for it.

The fans have made up the idea that Basette was dropped for shouting at his colleagues.

I never realised we had so many flat earthers among our fan base

Whilst I am not necessarily advocating for the same starting XI as Preston, there has been so much chopping and changing so far both in formations and personnel that I personally wouldn't mind just seeing some continuity to work with. I understand the calls to drop people who didn't perform on Saturday (or in general this season) but if we're dropping people off form or after a bad game we're going to be making like 10 changes every game. I'd like us to find some sort of style/formation/pattern of play and stick with it for a few games to try and develop something.

Course we were. Totally deflated after losing to Man U and knackered due to the small size of the squad.

We lost 3 .0 to Blues, 2.1 to Saints and 2.1 to Cardiff all before we played Man Utd.

Like everyone else, he didn't play very well against Swansea.

He's a very raw talent who I think will be successful given a few seasons. The problem is that describes most of our squad at the moment.

I would happily take just getting a bit of luck and the most unconvincing, scrappy 1-0 win with a goal that goes in off Simms' arse

I have to say I'm not this source but it's something I've suggested as well and would advocate for this,if this lad has it that is and we'll never know while he doesn't get a try?

I'm not even going, swapped my shift with my Blues supporting pal so he can go down there tonight

First game of the season I have missed so we'll win

hence the huge gap in terms of ‘leadership’ (for want of a better word) on the pitch, in my view some healthy bollockings would do no harm, as opposed to the unhealthy bickering we see in games now

Hit them with pure pace. Front 3 of Wright, Mason-Clark & Tavares. Torp AM, Rudoni & Sheaf CM.

Would be tempted to start Saka at right wing back . I know it's not his preferred position but MvE was awful Saturday

I don’t think Saka’s defensive qualities are up to it, although I do believe that MVE needs to be rested.

I would go for Lati if we want a conventional right back or Eccles for a right wing back.

None of the options are ideal but right back is one of the positions for which we don’t have proper cover.

Feel like much of what he says is waffle and playing favourites, but Dawkins was right on his last podcast where he said Robins needs to tell the players "This is my XI for the next 6 games. No changes. Go out and get us some results" so guys can finally find a rhythm.

Be a scrappy game today, not much in it. Do expect Simms to start hitting the cows arse with a banjo tonight though.

4-3 to us.

Sakamoto, Simms x2 and B Thomas.

Kitching double OG for them and Chair from a shit Kitching header. Don’t think Kitching will start just really annoyed at him atm.

I’m not that fussed about result tonight I just want them to play well because it’s been a long time, no identity, fearful play etc etc

want to see some confidence because we look in a relegation scrap atm

simms on the bench please my blood pressure is too high

Agree in general. I've said before that we've got no partnerships at all in the team.

Tavares and Bassette showed more understanding in the 21s game than any pair in the first team.

That's what happens when the starting lineup seems to be decided by a game of musical chairs at Ryton

You can play well and lose in championship especially away
