Dovin motm

Don't think anybody stood out but we got the result.

Rudoni gets another assist.

Fair play to Kitching for navigating the early booking. Last season there's no way he stays on the pitch till the end but he seems to really have wised up under FL

Genuinely struggling to see why Torp is getting in the starting 11.

Been pretty poor last couple.

although he was very good for a few games prior

I’d bench him and use him as an impact sub next week

Some very solid 7’s. I’ve been critical but I thought Binks defended well second half. Grimes is obviously quality. Rudoni always good and Dovin mom just for the quality of his 2-3 saves.

He and Rudoni could probably use a rest to be fair to them both, but we haven't got the depth yet to rotate them out.

Eccles came on and did well I thought, looked more natural alongside Grimes than Torp did.

I think Torp goes back to Rudonis back up when we revert back to 4-3-3 . One of Sheaf/Eccles and Allen to partner Grimes is the way I think we will set up

Glad I'm not the only one that noticed .
Grimes definitely needs a more mobile partner in a midfield two .

Grimes looks worth every penny of what we've paid so far. Just need more of his colleagues on the same wavelength.

We saw that version last season, I'd say Sheaf needs to unlock that version back himself.

Didn’t think the game was anywhere near as bad as some on here and I think the end could be season defining.

Agreed with Lampard’s game plan and hope he goes with the same on Saturday. Wouldn’t have taken simms off but worked in the end!

Really surprised no one bigging up Sakamoto. Thought he was unreal tonight and that little ball to release EMC . If every player had his attitude and work rate we’d be alright.

Dovin 8 - some great saves, the one to his left at the foot of the attacker stood out most.
Milan 7 - some nice attacking moves and defended well in the main.
Thomas 7.5 - some nice passing and a goal for the extra half a point.
Binks 8 - defended really well second half, think he'll come good.
Kitching 6 - steady
Dasilva 6 - did okay
Grimes 7.5 Quietly excellent, will be a big player.
Torp 7 - not his best game but still the most technically gifted in the team.
Rudoni 7.5 - worked hard, an assist, great feet, becoming an important player for us.
Sakamoto 6.5 - not his best game.
Simms 6 - not much to work with.

Subs
Eccles 6 - did well.
BTA 6 did well, a couple of nice touches and put pressure on the QPR defenders.
EMC 6 caused problems as soon as he came on

Type of game I think quite a few players would have had their ratings reduced by a couple of points if we'd not got the last minute winner.

Poor game overall, but great result.
Grimes looks good, Dovin or Rudoni motm

Should and hopefully will be a key result.
Thought our shape was good, and played some lovely stuff at times.
Sakamoto, Grimes, Dasilva and Binks alll had good games.
MOTM - Dovin
EMC lively return.

7s all round +1 Dovin and Thomas for the save and goal.

Edit, still something missing, not quite sure what and at least we won. Forwards worked hard but not sure Simms or Asante can play up on their own, look like they need eachother.

Best game Saka has had for a long time, mainly second half but still, great work rate and troubled them going forwards. couple of quality passes

Felt a bit for Grimes with the lack of movement in front of him at times. Going to be a big player for us, no doubt about that. Think Wright and EMC will thrive with him pulling the strings.

Dovin 8 - 2 great saves to keep us in it today
MVE 6 - Saito had him beat a few times today
JDS 6
Thomas 7
Binks 7
Kitching 7
Grimes 8 - Looks very safe in the middle
Torp 7
Rudoni 7
Saka 7 - Struggled at times and isolated but better after formation change
Simms 7 - Should have scored but a great save from their keeper. Isolated in 1st half
