It looks as if they may be denied automatic promotion next week when the hearing about their dodgy player happens.

It also says on the Sun website that clubs who lost against them while Faurlin was playing could take legal action against them.

This is going to cause merry hell in the championship as it could see some teams close to playoffs being pushed out and then teams claiming points at the bottom that Faurlin played against! Did he play against us!!

Thing is dangerous precidents have been set by the west ham decision and they had no points deductions so i am not sure how they can change their minds on this one also??

I think they have brought new rules in since the West Ham incident so it makes it worse for QPR.

If that were to happen that would be extraordinary. He's played in 38 games this season for QPR. A total of 74 points were picked up in those games. If the unprecedented were to happen and somehow QPR were deducted all of those points (I think it's nearly impossible that would happen, but is hypothetically interesting) then QPR would be automatically relegated after being dropped to 11 points with 2 games to play!

Oh, and to answer Covstu, he did play against us both times this season. Coventry of course went on to lose both games.

I would love to see Mr Warnock dragged down by all of this. I can't stand that arrogant bastard.

Maybe arrogant but he knows how to get teams out of this division. How many has he done it with? 6 or 7 times now.

I don't think it's quite that many times. He's only been in charge of 3 clubs int he championship.

And he never kept any of them up there anyway.

I don't think they would lose all of the points gained with Faurlin because they bought the rest of his ownership from his third party in November or December I think, so it will just be the points gained from that period. I am loving the irony of the situation after Warnock was so 'holier than thou' about West Ham with Tevez and Mascherano especially as Sheffield Utd are also heading down

They have stated that it will be up to 15 points deducted so no more than that. This would put them out of automatic spots and into the playoffs, so they might not go up. I suppose this will acuse issues with teams close to the playoffs as QPR will take that spot, this could be rattling around for a while!!!

If the league had got tehir act together and decided the penalty when they knew about the situation it would all have been settled by new year

A 15 point drop would put them just 3 points above 7th with 2 games to go. If they are deducted 15 points they may not even make the play-offs at all!

I know we're a bit glum about so many years in this division but at least it's always interesting.

After the west ham crap and his attitude towards it, i'd love if they didn't go up... They've cheated.. Okay yes they've played football and been the best team in the league by miles, but still, they cheated.

The question is whether this very similar to the Tevez affair?

I think it likely they could be deducted 10 points but doubt that would happen at this stage of the season when they could have heard this long ago and told QPR not to use the player until further notice.
They didn't and so would be very difficult to make an argument for such punishment now.

The likelihood is a large fine and suspended points deduction against any future encroachments.

Having thought about it, didn't the prem deal with the west ham incident? while qpr are in the championship and thus answer to the football league?

Food for thought...

Also, its not just the fact that this guy played for them that is apparelty why they are in hot water. If it was just that, they'd get a fine. But i believe they tried to pay the agent off without telling anyone and the agent isn't allowed to operate in the UK.

Got away with it- no point deduction, despite being found guilty on two counts. What example does this set?
