I think the older generation from when there was only 1 team in the european cup etc - and when we had scotland in the world cup finals - that there is a general following of the british teams
The sky tv / social media generation not so much

Why would I do that, just the one as I know, i don't know where you're coming from?

It's really fine if any Scottish or Welsh root for us to lose, we qualify for near enough every tournament and we've won a World Cup so they're punching up. It's the price of being relatively good

Would be starting this Friday if it was held in normal circumstances

Southgate going all out to excite with Rice, Phillips, Mount in midfield v Germany (Only Rice would make the team for me)

We have Foden, Bellingham, Maddison, Grealish who can create and yet his obsession with Mount is increasingly annoying to me.

Foden injured. Agree about Bellingham though.

Would also play Ramsdale over Pickford. Not sure why Tomori isn't in the match day squad.

I would have liked to have seen
Ward-Prowse or Gallagher get a game ahead of Mount.

I've not seen Mount have a good game for England.

Sure I read he's taken a knock or something minor like that

Kane receiving the ball 30 yards from our keeper when we are playing out from the back?!

Bellingham is far too isolated and Mount hardly in the game. For England he just seems to run about a lot. Good engine, barely any end product.

Flush with attacking options and this is how he sets us up and tells us to play. Only one side is making a real effort to win this

Saka hardly in the game either.

Only Rice has looked decent really. Bellingham shown a bit too, but like I say, he's too isolated.

I think Southgate is overrated as a manager. He has a whole array of talent at his disposal, yet he somehow can't seem to get it to add up the sum of its parts, A good manager should get it to exceed the sum of its parts, or at least get it to add up to something like..

His only club job ended pretty underwhelmingly too. The Euros final was the best show of him for me-totally on the front foot by letting the shackles off, deserved lead, then decides we should camp in our half trying to see out 45 minutes. The rest is history, fortune favours the brave

Italy were there for the taking while we were leading in that first half. Had we gone 2 up, it would have been all over for sure.

We sat back too much as the game wore on and allowed Italy to dominate.

Do we think it's because it's the end of the season and they just don't wanna be there ? Feel like we might benefit from a world cup mid season as a team

Saka, Sterling and Mount just not getting into game enough. Kane going very deep to pick up ball just to get a touch. Midfield have to get hold of the ball and start to build play rather than aimless balls to no one.

We do look rather jaded I think.

Would like to see Tomori given a go at the back.

The difference between Maguire and Rudiger in terms of defensive quality is huge.

One looks assured and the other, all over the place and a mistake seemingly just around the corner.

Mount should never be in the team ahead of Bellingham or Foden (I know he's injured). We don't look like we have a plan and anybody steering the team (on or off the pitch) We just look like decent (ish) players making it up as we go along. End of moan, but I feel frustrated that Southgate is going to waste a generation of decent footballers with his conservatism.

Just mentioned on the TV that we're joint 2nd favourites for the World Cup. Astounding
