I think a good bases to start with ‘are a country capable of hosting the World Cup’ should be - do they have the infrastructure in place without having to spend billions.

If they don’t have the necessary stadia and transportation then they need to develop them and thus show they are sustainable before it is awarded.

Having thought about it, never mind a country with the necessary infrastructure, I reckon London could host a World Cup all by itself.

Rope in Twickenham and you're almost there in terms of stadia requirements.

Am I the only one thinking that Argie was completely milking that hand/arm to the face?

I’m over last night now. Was furious at the time.

Nobody puts in 7 great performances to win it. A solid dispatch of Wales on Tuesday and it’s all good.

Yeah. We weren't awful last night. Just a bit insipid and lacking invention.

I am not too worried, but we need to drop Mount for starters. For me, Foden is far the superior player and has just as good an engine as Mount.

I would be inclined to play Rashford or Grealish instead of Saka and Foden in for Mount. If Walker is fit, him in for Trippier too.

Some top quality 'game management' going on here.
Shame there's not much football.

Southgate is in love with Mount - like Strachan and Telfer

He’ll have to wait in line behind Lampard.

Agreed. I really like Tripper but he was poor last night. Ben White could be an option as well. Played well for arsenal at RB by all accounts. I’d love to find a way of getting TAA in for his offensive skills but he just worries me defensively. If we were chasing the game you’d maybe gamble on getting him on

Yup. I really like TAA going forwards, but his awareness at that back isn't at all great and he does get caught out of position at times.

I don't think Trippier has been very good in either of the first two games to be honest.

I like Ben White too

Was a foul just.

But Messi could two foot someone in the chest and still get a foul/ no booking

Yeah TAA would be ok vs. Wales but good teams will have a field day.

Shockingly the midfielder converted to RB has the positional awareness of a midfielder playing RB

To be fair, Strachan hasn't picked Telfer for ages.

Is this really something a 'so called' supporters group should be 'liking'?

Whether you agree with the knee or not, its clearly not about George Floyd. Embarrassing.

It was though, that's the problem. It's also the laziest possible gesture to do, because it has nothing to do with any of the shit that has gone on for the world cup, but it's the one thing they know they're allowed to get away with. I think it was very hard for any team to get this right for the tournament, but personally find this pretty embarrasing.

I was watching the USA game in a pub with some very well grounded American's and they were genuinely confused.

He’s a full bore mentalist but I don’t think PSB Group is still a thing and he just tweets in a personal capacity. But like Nick used to with the SBT account.

6 minutes injury time, with about half of it wasted by the keeper. No extra added on! Pointless
