Yeah it’s never really had anything to do with the actual amount of stoppages has it - it’s just this generally agreed unwritten rule of thumb (about 3 minutes as standard, plus or minus a minute or two depending on how busy the second half has been). I’m glad they’re trying to address it.I always wondered, because first half it is never more than two minutes, often just one. Second half is often four or so.
I get there is more shithousing at the end of a game and substitutes as well, but it isn't always the case and yet the pattern still seems the same.
