Don't think you can class Bellingham as a DM. He'll play more in the number 10 role.

Messi from the age of 32 has scored 92 goals (excluding any for his country) in 107 games. If that's only 'good', I'm not sure what world class is.

For the record: Maradonna was brilliant. I just think Messi is too. To say that Messi can't compare is more than a little harsh imo.

Anyone else out there who would be a bit more excited if it was Poland up next instead of France?

Part of me tonight is what's the point.

A bit of me does think we can beat France though.

I just would have been so much more excited about tonight's game if it was the Poles lying in wait. If we win tonight the next one is going to be mega, mega tough.

That approach would be great for entertainment but almost certainly lead to defeat.

Bellingham looks well up for it. Foden started positively too.

Need to run at that no.22. Poor and so oblivious to everything.

The defence is such a liability. This is why you can’t base a game plan on it

Same here. Feels like all that is on offer is one more game. France would put put 3 or 4 past us

Fight fire with fire and try to out score them. Better than grovelling for penalties

Walker is renowned for pace, yet keeps passing back to the centre halves who keep giving it away !

Same snorefest we tried against the US. Very slow build up, opposition gets set, we spend a few minutes not doing much then give the ball away.

Bellingham is drifting too wide. We need him collecting the ball in a more central position..

Tbf to Maguire, movement is absolutely minimal in front. It’s literally Rice offering the short ball and that’s it.

Don’t want to go on about it, but the Henderson call is a mistake. We need players to take us forward and comfortable on the ball, that isn’t his game. He can do a job in the Rice role that’s it.

An England goal changes the game, Senegal will have to come out.

Our centre backs have been Senegal's best passers so far.
