Why is it that having waited so long for something to be proud of as a club several people including ex players are jumping on the band wagon with having digs at us over our loans and sugesting they should be recalled.

why cant they just say that mowbrey has worked wonders with a limited budget to get these players in and get the team playing well together.

it seems everyone at the minute is having a go and trying to derail the tm express train

You're right, we've broken no rules (cow me, makes a change, didn't we always have some embargo over us???). TM has simply done his homework and got the best loans he can afford/find, and gelled them into a decent unit. Is it our fault we're playing the game correctly and doing all right thankyouverymuch?

What would these pundits prefer anyway? Having decent players sitting on benches for half their careers at their parent club? Or appearing in another money-spinning ManU 2nd XI allowed to play in the football league to the detriment of established clubs with 100 years of history and a place in their community?

These are probably the same people that gave a under-the-counter thumbs up to Southampton, but were relieved when the status quo returned. (as an asside, Im actually pleased for Fester fucking up the apple cart).

I am starting to notice everybody points out our loans, but other teams in our league have just as many but they aren't proving as good.

you are paranoid and are actually fuelling the rumour mill. Nobody is having digs....Quinn has just expressed an opinion AA isn't far off being good enough for the Newcastle first team. We knew that when we took him on loan. We also knew Newcastle had an option to recall the player in the first few weeks and the agreement was until January, but with a chance of having it extended. Stop bleating about the reality of the situation, which has been to our advantage.

I watched Stelling, Nicholas, Cottee and Thompson on soccer special praising us and Mowbray for our use of the loan system. The consensus on there was that Mowbrays style of play was a big factor in the PL teams decisions to lend us their young talent.

When push comes to shove, we aren't breaking any rules and all the other teams have the same options as us.

Last season the line was Pressley doesn't like using loanees. They are not loyal, their heart's not in it etc etc. Now it is loanees are great etc etc.. TM's usage of loanees is what makes the difference. They want to be here playing under an experienced competent manager. It does them good and we do well out of it. We still need our own players mid-term to be able to build a consistent and successful team. Hope we go up.

This is what happens when you are a successful club, it's much better than losing every week and being praised by the opposition and the getting relegated.

I love it. Bring on all the jealousy and twisted shit you like... it just reminds me of where we are and how it felt to be trailing in the wake of other teams. Whine on you wankers.... We are top of the league.

When you are number 1 you will have lots of number 2s taking shots at you

I'd rather be a number 1 than a number 2

Haven't you figured out yet that when you are top of the pile, everyone is trying to knock you off?

It seems to me that there is a bit of siege mentality going on here, but I`m a long way away and probably not in touch with all the comments being made re loan players.

So just for my info which managers or pundits make up the "lots" and "several" who are bagging the club over this ? Just asking.

If you tell me who she is I'll be able to tell you if I was on her or not !!
I think the reason people are getting uppity about this is simply that we are not used to being winners, so when we are spoken about and there are suggestions that Newcastle should take Armstrong back it is seen as a conspiracy to derail our season, which of course it isn't, it is just a reflection of our desire to stay at the top and the fact that Newcastle are struggling in the premier league.

No, they don't: they don't have Mowbray, either to create the options or to make the best of the available options!
