the last game staying up games were far better than it would be just missing out on promotion every season

Didn’t go - was too young at the time. I remember clutching a sky blue Sam teddy bear and listening to the radio. Heart was in the mouth... worst thing was knowing we had to hold on for 15 mins and CWR made every attack seem fatal. One of my very early CCFC memories

If we become a championship/league 1 yo yo side then that is progress considering we were in league 2 a couple of years ago.
The main problem in the scenario you paint is still being in Brum.. If our stay is extended it will become s major headache whatever league we're in.

Looks like the basic awards in the championship are worth 6.8m vs 1.4m in league 1 so that should help a bit. Obviously sponsorship revenue should go up too. Also 100-140k per match on telly vs 30k for the hosts and 10k for the away team. Average revenue in championship last year was 27m if you exclude parachute payments ours was 5.9m in the same period. Burton had the lowest turnover in the championship by the looks at 12.9 and Preston 13.3m. Burton average attendance 3058 Preston 14160.

Looks like we need to try and follow the example set by Sheffield Utd.
If only we could attract the attendances that they do it would help enormously.
We are definitely on the right track playing wise - just need to sort the stadium situation without it bankrupting us in the process and we will be set.

I can't see why anyone would be happy for is just to potter, if you don't play to win or achieve the best you can then what's the point

Win lose or draw it's just the emotions of being a football fan.

With the shite last 15 years I would take bottom 5 of the championship any day

I think Burnley are the realistic example to be honest. Crap team, few resources but a great manager
