Hey guys do you think we have the team for promotion next year
also do you think Mowbray will be the man to do it for us
who would be key players in a league winning/playoff team
and finally should we go for playoffs or league title
what do you think?

Give him the chance to sign a contract first.

Come on Estoerica, a tad harsh for a valid question

Skyblueol, it's probably a tad too soon to judge. As Fry says, if and when Mowbray signs a contract it is only then we can start to believe. Again if he stays, I imagine it will be because he is confident with the funds he is being provided and his ability to use them wisely.

It still appears that we are at the competitive end of the table in terms of financing a decent enough squad to compete at this level but as we have seen in recent seasons, pissing it away can lead you into deep shit.

I will be so gutted if Mowbray leaves as he has won over most fans and stamped his mark on the club in a short space of time. If it isn't to be then it will be up to Waggott to go and source the next best thing. There are other options out there such as Adkins or Billy Davies who have managed to successfully get teams out of this league. That isn't to say that this calibre would be interested in the post but hopefully it won't come to that anyway.

No news today is good news in my opinion. Hopefully Waggott will provide another update tomorrow or Friday.

We don't have the team for promotion or relegation, we don't really have the team for August yet.

Thanks for that skybluepm2. My feeling is however that it should not take so long to get a yes or no to TM's wishes and so I am now very pessimistic as to a good outcome.

No problem tony. I've just said the same to your namesake on the other thread. There was an interview taken from the observer which I think is from today so I've just copied the link from covcitymad.

I think the thread should be re-titled "Relegation next year". The way this shower of shit played this season, we'll be lucky to scrape into the middle third of the table again. We'll end up doing the same thing next year as we did this year - sweating our bollocks off on the final game!
