1. Juke's strike partner (whoever that has been) doesn't get close enough to him and so when Juke knocks it down or lays it off there's no-one there within a country mile.

2. The midfield is not supporting the attack. There is a massive void between the midfield and front two and our midfielders are not pushing up and supporting. Bigi and Clingan both sit in front of the back four as holding players and don't get forwards enough and Clingan and Thomas too, both sit deep and don't push forwards.

Hoping Deegan will be the answer here. Fingers crossed.

3. We lack pace. When Blackpool broke they looked extremely dangerous. We looked rather sluggish and pedantic and predictable.

4. Our play is too telegraphed and we lack invention. Bell for instance especially makes it all too clear at times exactly where he is going to put the ball. Many of his crosses tonight were 'looping' efforts that gave the defence an age to react. When he whipped one ball in at pace in the first half ROD narrowly headed the chance over the bar and that is what we need more of (whipped crosses, not ROD not scoring :D)

5. ROD is not the answer. We need McDonald to come good and do so sharpish!! Running around a lot I don't think qualifies you to be a professional footballer.

3. We lack pace. When Blackpool broke they looked extremely dangerous. We looked rather sluggish and pedantic and predictable. - In the first half. We can get away with a lack of pace if we play the sharp, bright pass and move that Deegan inspired. The ball can travel quicker than any player.

4. Our play is too telegraphed and we lack invention. Bell for instance especially makes it all too clear at times exactly where he is going to put the ball. Many of his crosses tonight were 'looping' efforts that gave the defence an age to react. When he whipped one ball in at pace in the first half ROD narrowly headed the chance over the bar and that is what we need more of (whipped crosses, not ROD not scoring :D) - Again, sharp pass and move will make us less sluggish and predictable.

It strikes me that we might be relying heavily on Gary Deegan staying fit and in form.
