I think the “earlybird” prices will be £500 in the standard zone and £600 in the premium.

I'm conflicted because I have stopped going to night matches and didn't think it might be worth buying a ST next year. However, I will never get the chance again to see us play at that level, and also, if I wanted to buy tickets on a match by match basis, I might not get one and even if I did I would be sat on my own in random blocks each time. So I will continue my ST even if it's not best value, unless the price is ridiculous. I'm hoping that any increase will be small, at least for the first season

The ticket exchange will recoup some of that loss. 5 games will be midweek. I guess you could consider a taxi?
My gripe with the ticket exchange is that it pays less than the value of the ticket. BIL has a Brighton ticket that pays the full value back.

This season's Early Bird prices.

PS There was an £8 'service charge' on top of that.

It would be nice if Doug King, for one season at least, gave season ticket holders in the lounges a bit of a discount for our loyalty.

Thought I'd paid more than £440. My memory is awful though!

It's a business and it's the premier league. get real. It will go up just like anything else. Players wages, management, coaches etc all get a rise to top level wages. There are so many extra cost regardless of sponsors or TV revenue to cover. I expect a £200 increase on a season ticket in the premium zone.

Same. It’s why I still think £600 won’t be too bad.

Are a club mole? They have form. So someone with your 68 messages makes me wonder? So, not wanting to price people out, I think it should be less than that.

I’d prefer to pay less obviously, however if you factor in the £200k or so we’ll lose from the “free” season tickets, it’s the number that makes most sense.

Anything above will be a bit silly and anything below wouldn’t cover the shortfall.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure I paid £345 for a season ticket in league 2 and mine was only 440 this season.

So let’s say it was £550-£600 for premier league football, id not be that arsed.

It should not be a problem. His weekly wage bill will be going up by that much. The Premiership pays a tad more that 200k as well. Having looked at season tickets in the Prem, it’s reassuring that some clubs look at the fans as assets rather than asses.

Burnley, Sunderland, Man C et all have a low starting point.

The £11m we get for winning the league will be a nice bonus and the £200m for promotion. However, we’re all naive if we think prices won’t go up.

If they go up to £500/ £600 then that’s a 10% rise…which is quite steep, but I think everyone expects a rise of some quantity.

Who knows, Doug may surprise us and leave them as they are!

I think they will put all tickets up at least by £100 , otherwise he's got some payments to make in terms of subsidising that prem off, then stage payments to make,no room for sentiment here IMO.

It was £400 last season and went up 10% this season to £440.

10% increase would take us to £484. I’d be more than happy to pay that.

I think most people on here will have price in mind where it becomes too much. I certainly have…and have to factor in 240 miles of petrol each game too (less games makes it more affordable for me!)

But, yes, he could double the price next season and I still would pay it. There will come a point when the thrill of countless Champions League games and FA cup wins will become a bit monotonous, however, and I may have to bow out.

If we’d not got promoted that probably would’ve been realistic (5-10% increase) but I’m expecting more as we’re playing in the prem

That’s fair enough, in most cases.

My Mum and Dad have been retired for 10 years and are far more well-off than me, having bought the now-valued at £400k family home for £1.50 in 1980. Bloody boomers.
