How on earth was Bassett excellent? He ran around a lot, shouted a lot and that was it?
Without reading any other opinions.
Much better today, apart from the finishing.
The real score should have been 2-3 as Preston did have 3 or 4 big chances.

To be fair he did link play quite well a few times and made some intelligent lay offs. But overall I agree - running about a lot is good but doesn’t generally win games at this level. You post a robins out poll every weekAs for whose fault it is I’m sure we could go on about it for days, but it’s mad to think we’ve squandered one of the biggest gifts that 2 players will probably ever give us. We basically turned £2 mil into £35 mil and then with that we bought a load of players that either can’t play or can’t be arsed to play.
I personally think Robins has a game or two left until I’ll be in the “Robins out” camp.

We really didn't deserve a point.Did we deserve a point? On the balance of play you’ve got to say yes.. but the issue is; we deserved a point against a really poor Preston team, and more worryingly, we have real issues all over the pitch.

Doug - his refusal of loans, or experience because it won't make him any cash is fucking amateur. It's affected us on the field massively but people don't want to hear it. He's pissed about with things that didn't need pissing about with and he's fucked it. He hasn't listened to anyone better qualified than him around the club, because Douglas knows best, and fuck everyone else. Him and his nonse brother nowhere to be seen all of a sudden
Coaches - Clearly absolutely nowhere near the level needed. Stealing a living and out of their depth. Training sessions are more intense and technical apparently but that means fuck all during games
Dr Claire + Co - they've not got a fucking clue
Aled Williams - as a defence coach is one of the worst decision I think the club's ever made. We cannot defend for toffee and how no one in the club is amending this is astonishing

We have four! They may not be world-beaters but they are good enough to keep us out of the bottom three.
I think the real problems are (a) midfield and (b) having forwards who, for whatever reason, aren’t putting it in the net.

In isolation the performance wasn't that bad.
If we were sat in midtable then after that you'd probably say it was OK, and a little unlucky not to come away with something.
Obviously when taken with all the other results it fucking sucks.
