2mins of highlights
should Murphy have come for the first goal they scored from 2 yards out.

The Edge really got muscled for their second

The first was a decent cross from the winger, probably had a bit too much pace for the keeper to get there. Best he could have done was dived and maybe tried to parry the cross away

Great work by Moussa and Baker for our goals

The 2nd is very poor from james bailey who just completely loses his man.

Don't think murthy would have got to the ball if he had went for it. And tbh wood should have dealt with it

We keep talking about getting another striker. Is it because we are scoring fans are forgetting about our leaky defence. Everytime an opposing team wins a corner I get nervous or any set pieces for that matter. Surely we should be looking at ways to shore up our defence

14 shots on target to their 3... should've won & watching those highlights don't really reflect the battering we gave them 1st half

Yes but they had 3 shots on target ... Scored with 2 and baker cleared the other off the line... Shows how wasteful we are..

Yeah we were wasteful, can't argue with that! Thought their GK kept them in it as well tho (even tho he was a bit of a bellend!). We're creating chances which is encouraging tho... just need to start taking a few more. On a different note... is Sheffers injured? Thought he could've added something to the game, especially 2nd half.

So we're wasteful up front and at the back mmmmh. Winning on spirit and determination alone

An ecellent finish from leon Clarke. The Edge seems to be wondering around llike a headless chicken in the penalty area? While they have done well Edge and Wood I can't help thinking we need to shore it up a bit with Cameron?

Agreed.

Which I have said for a while, we need a CB for now, and hopefully Cameron to somehow step up and be counted! I think our main issue is CB, the very heart of the defence.

Who do we take out? If we want to play a passing game then Cameron and Wood would be a disaster e.g. MKD

Think its time to put cameron in for a few games.. Edge hasnt looked too comfortable last few games. Never been camerons biggest fan but the few games hes played this season hes looked very reliable!

Something weird about the crowd noise there, for one thing they seem to be ignoring the goals!

For our first goal, bakers pass was first class, moussa's trickery was again class and then Clarke's finish was very very good and then Bakers mazy run for the second was a fine piece of individual skill from the captain!, but we look very nervous when defending ,think MR needs to look over his tapes and see what needs doing not a lot though just I think communication with the back four could be better?

Both goals were good movement from Preston but I think wood and bailey could have done lots more to put their counterparts off

That pitch was seriously bad though no bounce in the ball and really sticky

Something you have to deal with in L1, and both teams had to cope with it.

I don't think PNE would've been happy with our pitch in the JPT.

A Preston fan confirmed that westley had his players train on it all week in all this shit weather. He will do anything to be anti football to win games.

I've been to Preston for quite a few away games and I always remember in days past commenting on how well the pitch was. It had always been one of the better looked after playing surfaces.
