I was..... its speaks volumes that the incident probably still remains the on-pitch highlight of my 12 visits to deepdale.....

Yes I travelled down from Edinburgh for that. A shocking day. Magnus had a poor game but cannot excuse what happened at the end of game.

Why did Coventry totally capitulate in final six games in 2001/02?

I spent that season in Australia and Edinburgh. That Preston game was my only game.
Incidentally, I was around in Mancheater for first Stockport game but could not face going after relegation. Little did I know that two relegations would follow and the SISU era.

My memory is of capitulation too (accusations about players giving up before going to the world cup?), but looking at the fixtures/team we put out, it doesn't look so bad...

5 of our last 6 games were against teams that finished in the top 8. And I can't remember what happened with injuries then, but the difference in the team v Norwich (our last win) and a month later v Preston is stark...

Possibly. I wasn't there but I recall the (City fan) pitch invader and Hedman shitting himself until he was safely wrestled to the ground by stewards and only then did Hedman become 'brave'.

Surely Moussa’s equaliser, after all of the time wasting that went on ( including Joe Murphy having to go into the stand at one point to retrieve the ball which the Preston fans were holding on to) trumps the pitch invader?

Only game I have left early, was pissed off with Preston's anti-football tactics & thought with a couple of minutes left we were going to lose & it was a long drive home. I thought the noise from the crowd was the final whistle & was shocked to hear when scores were read out on radio 5 and he said "Preston 1 Coventry City 1"

I am surprised it’s not sold quicker. Bristol is slightly further away and sold out?

I imagine it is probably the fact since the last payday we've had a day in London at QPR and already had to fork out for Bristol & Rotherham tickets. Forth away game in the same pay packet is costly so more will sell end of month when people are paid again especially if we keep the good run going.

The only good thing was the easy parking just across the road, and the Museum, which I think has been moved now? Other than that, it’s a total shithole

I think it's partly that we haven't played Bristol on a Saturday in a while so it's a chance for a day out. Preston we've played a LOT over the last 20 years and never win there.

Was looking at drive times. Must have been traffic, you’re right Briz is slightly closer.

The last Saturday game against Preston was 2015, we have played them 3 times since all mid week. I think that if we do well against Bristol and Rotherham, there will be a big uptake nearer the end of the month come pay day PUSB, just to state I have already purchased 4 for our group, really looking forward to a Saturday trip

This exactly! Preston were total cheats that day, time wasting, niggly, and even the crowd time wasted. Then Moussa scored that cracking goal deep into injury time, and I have never gone so mental in all my life. Didn’t we nearly repeat the feat the next season, when we lost 1-0, but John Fleck hit the bar from about 30 yardo with just about the last kick of the game?

Shame we haven't got any dots to count. I'm going to say 2275 sold so far.

I'd be surprised if we ask for any more beyond the initial allocation

We will.

People aren't rushing because they know the allocation is so high. Same thing with Rotherham, took 2 weeks to sell out.
