I hate how Preston always seem to turn us over. Hope we can get rid of this annoying league bogey. Telegraph say 19 games without a win in the league.

Easy to drive to, about 2hours, park across the road for £6, 50 yard walk into the ground. I hate the bastard place, been 7 times never seen a City win

I didn’t think we’d ever beaten them in the league? I just write Preston away off every season

We beat them at home under Dowie I think when Doyle smashed one in, and I vividly remember hammering them during the (all too brief) Eric Black period so would be 2005, I may be wrong but I think we went 4 up in about half an hour and they couldn’t get near us, with Bjarni Gudjonssen (sp?) pulling the strings.

Aside from that I don’t recall too many games v them that haven’t ended depressingly… the one where a fan ran on and attacked Hedman after we’d conceded a fourth was particularly bleak

2004, Gudjonsson had a penalty saved when on a hat-trick despite McSheffrey wanting the kick. Best league moment at Deepdale has to be Moussa’s equaliser.

If we actually win there this time I’ll call the title for us on the spot

Ben Turner scored a cracking header at deepdale quite a few years ago, shame it was in his own net, but a great header none the less

God I don’t remember any good games at Deepdale, that moment you refer to escapes me totally, only good bit about going there was admiring the ground itself, which I do like

Never been. Quite fancy it next week.
Offal bus from the Arena at 3.00PM.
2-0 win.
Few scoops in the casino afterwards.
Cheeky little win at roulette.
Uber home.

What could possibly go wrong?

Sorry I meant at deepdale. I think we won in the cup in the mid 90s but never in the league

also the Gudjonssen game - didn’t he score 2 and miss a pen? I real liked Gudjonssen. Him an Deloumoex were never the same players under Reid as they were under black

That was the midweek game where we’d gone 3-0 up in 10 mins vs Burnley the game before. I think we went 3-0 up in around 15 mins vs Preston and Fuller got one back and finished 4-1.

Got my tickets, first visit to Deepdale for me. Up to around 60 grounds visited, all with the sky blues.

Had a look on their forum, they're quite critical of him despite the fact he was under writing losses for them every month by issuing new shares.

Preston have still got it delusions of being a top flight club, I think they got relegated from the top flight about 3 years before Cov promoted in 67.

No, that was 2-2 but was the only time we have played well there.

Only time I've been there was a pre-season friendly in the late 70s. In a small coach from Leamington, On the drive through Preston there was a factory with Cov City will die on the windows (which was one of those strange but true moments) Went in a pub which had a plasticine dart board (!) and stood on the terracing at the side. The locals soon realised that we were a group of City fans (with a couple of Man U day trippers with us) and surrounded us. We were protected by the police/stewards (wasn't too intimidating) but after the game we had to get to the only obvious City coach. I vaguely remember standing on the age of the PNE gaggle looking for City fans heading for the coach, then making a quick break for it when I had the opportunity .Oh - and yes, we lost !!
