Don't park at Sainsbury's, it is only a small walk from Deepdale but takes ages to get out after the game

Easy free parking more or less opposite the home end (its a road next to a park and sometimes coaches there too) but you'll find it easier to get away if you park the side if the ground before you reach it and have a bit of a walk up.

Done this one before on coach, car & train but first time on a minibus this year so hopefully we'll win

I would say 10K to Old Trafford would have been the most we’ve taken north in midweek.

I reckon we must have passed 4K now. I'm block M and block Q is the only block on sale now. I think blocks K & R are segregated off. So on that theory its approx 1K per block.

I think we took much more than 10K mid week in the cup to Liverpool. I remember it being a pea soup drive home that took 5-6 hours

Is that the night when the Liverpool fans smashed loads of coach windows. Meant to of been a lot of trouble that night think late 70s Some on here will still defend them as cheeky friendly scousers

Around this time 1977. I never went but a couple of my school friends did.
They came back with tales of eye watering aggro.

It was . Loads of fighting in the carpark in Stanley park. We had the whole of the Annie Road end and possibly 1/2 the Kemlin road. At the time I think it was estimated to be 14K City fans but correct me if I’m wrong.

I worked with a Liverpool fan who was at Hillsborough and said it wasn’t the police’s fault, it was the pissed up Liverpool fans without tickets causing trouble outside. The police opened the gates and they rushed in crushing their own.
And it was them scouser again that stopped us playing in Europe after we won the Cup .
Always pity me , pity me . Bin dipping tramps

Coming out of that stand and turning up the adjacent rd past another stand it was mayhem horse's charging, scarves getting exposed, actually opening you're bomber jackets.
Brother had been kicked out ,coat torn off his back, mugged, then the funny bit going the wrong up the M6 towards Preston, got home at about 8-30 and the Van ran out of petrol and John loggs had to walk back to tile hill.
Robbed we were both metorphically and actually.

You're not allowed to say that, as independent investigations have exonerated them ..

* but I agree!

The fault lies with the stadium and the police and rightly so, but to think fans weren't pissed, weren't ticketless and weren't robbing eachother, when they did at every other game around the country and Europe is more than a bit of a stretch.

Did the terraces suddenly rise up and rush the juventus fans? Or was it the hoardings? Perhaps it was the floodlights did they suddenly March over?

What is he point. Yes the stadium was falling apart however if the Liverpool fans hadn’t charged the juventus fans the wall wouldn’t have collapsed and 39 people wouldn’t have died. That is the real point. I’m sick and tired of Liverpool fans always being the victims.

It really wasn't full of families - It was designated 'neutral' by UEFA and filled almost exclusively by Juventus supporters who were throwing objects at the Liverpool supporters.
Absolutely no pardoning the events which followed but taking into account the shambolic organising of what was a prestige sporting event, blame has to be apportioned.
Same with Hillsborough - Any (ticketless) Liverpool supporter who stormed into the Leppings lane has to take responsibility for contributing to the disaster.

Talking of 'responsibility', I've played my part in steering this thread away from its subject - Apologies.
Back on track - Got my ticket, booked day off work, going with the Parkstone although they are leaving from The Wheel.
'This time, more than any other time this time'!
