Yes just had a look, we’ve lost the last five against them! Johnson in midfield for them is a great player

Sheaf back in or stick with Hamer & Allen ?

Have to say I’ve been impressed with Jamie Allen of recent

2 points of the playoffs with 32 games gone of the season. Any fan worth their salt better have a bloody good reason to not be at the cbs this Saturday afternoon. If you’re not excited for this then sign off as a fan

I have a pretty good reason

So have I but I'd replace him with Sheaf.
It's a home game, would like to see a bit more control in midfield.

If we get that against Preston I'll be quite surprised. 20,000 tops I reckon.

It was over 17k vs Barnsley during a storm and off the back of a bad run of form. We are two wins on the bounce, the weather should be better and Person will bring more than the 600 Barnsley brought.

Be great if we could get it up to 22k.

17K is our hardcore home support. It only goes higher for local derbies. Preston sold 2.3K so far so I would imagine a crowd between 19&20K

Exactly, we got 18k against Millwall at the height of Omicron.

Saturday is a rare category B game, big away following and a brilliant week following Coventry. We should be aiming for similar numbers to the Peterborough and West Brom games.

Agreed, but this is a bigger game than a normal fixture for the hardcore.

Any other club would get a big crowd for this one.

How about true fans just go to support the lads and 90 minutes of entertainment.
if people need an incentive of a free drink etc then they arnt fans they are just part of the glory hunter brigade whos last game was wembley or they had a mates ticket for their big day out at Southampton

Think the gate versus Sheff Utd will be the biggest of the season. They'll shift between 5k and 6k depending on what the police will allow, and if we are still making a fist of it, that could push/break the 25k figure I would have thought.

5k-6k fans Might help pay for the cost of doing up the training pitches in the summer. Plus will be better seeing more of them upset at losing !
Otherwise, I'd agree with you.

I think if we are still in playoff contention, this could well be our biggest crowd of the season. Big away following, two teams going for playoffs with a biggish team. You'd hope we would get towards the mid 20's should we get some decent results in the upcoming games.

Our hardcore support is much less. Otherwise we'd never get less than around 18k if you include away support.
It's season ticket holders + 1000.
12,000 tops.

How can it be 12k tops when we’ve only had less than 15k home fans once all season?

For how shocking our home support is, our away support has always been quite solid. Since Ryan Lowe has come in the club is a fun place to be at moment and we’re also doing well on the road hence the ticket sales.

Travel well with their home gates in mind. They choose one away game a season as their “Gentry Day”, don’t know if Saturday is that

I’m impressed you know about Gentry day. It’s not been decided which game is our gentry day yet but it’s looking likely to be Derby away.

Seems unlikely there will be less home fans then there were for Barnsley.

Wouldn't that mean less home fans than we had for Barnsley? Seems unlikely after Tuesday.

They’ve been close to the mark last couple of games

Barnsley predicted 18,000 (17,104)
Blackpool predicted 16,500 (15,752)

Then it's certainly less than 15 k isn't it ? Coventry city have never ever had a huge "hardcore" support.

I still think we are missing quite a number of season ticket holders who haven't renewed since we moved to Birmingham. In addition, the restrictions of covid at the start of the season put some off. I wouldn't be surprised if we are missing several hundred or a thousand season ticket holders from the last time we were at the Ricoh who haven't renewed.
That said, I anticipated our average crowd to be below what it is, so I'm optimistic for the future. If we finish on a good note, not necessarily in the play offs, then I'd be disappointed if the club didn't anticipate towards 15,000 season ticket sales. That would surely guarantee average crowds of 21,000 +.

Do nt see the point in getting knickers in a twist over what the crowd will be.
I ll be there and grateful to be so.
I d imagine all of who do will see the performance we deserve lol
Covs support is what it is, but I do believe its growing, lots more youngsters now.

We've had much bigger crowds at less appealing games this season.

We are 3 points off the play offs heading close to March. One of our smallest Saturday home crowds expected is poor.

We are 7th in the home attendances table

Sky Bet Championship | Average Attendances | Home Matches | Football Web Pages

Live Football Scores, League Tables, Form Guides, Attendances, Latest News and other stats from the Premier League, Football League and Non-League football
www.footballwebpages.co.uk

Though benefit from large away support most weeks. Bristol City and Cardiff likely above us in pure home numbers
