We were shocking and to equalise like that in the last minute after being battered for the whole game is a travesty. We will give the point back tomorrow

To a man, I thought we were excellent. I don't think we deserved to ship 4 goals today - Aaron and Andy have been real rocks for us these past few weeks. We need a team of 11 Jack Finch's, he was absolutely top-drawer today and personifies everything this fuuutebol club is about. Jordan Willis's throw-ins were a joy to behold, we've been working hard on that extra length all week. Marcus took his goal really well, a quality finish from a quality player. I'd love him to see his career out with us, I really would, I've said from day one he would be the lynchpin of our team and I've never wanted him to leave. Flecky was tremendous, as he has been all season long.

Having said that, I'm not sure Jim O'Brien is quite the right type of character we need as our leader - Reda Johnson will be our captain from now on. We're rebuilding, of course we are, and summer will be a great chance for us to put our plans into action. I've been eyeing up several Championship journeymen and we hope to get deals over the line for Luke Varney, Gary Taylor-Fletcher and Calvin Andrew to further bolster our strike force.

"it was a good win. We deserved what we got. There a form team and we stuck to our task. This will be the lift we deserve as an outfit. We have worked hard and if we keep doing that the results will come. We were outstanding today and they gave me everything they had"

Dreaming??????

" make no mistake about it certain players will be shipped out of this club, the fact that we went down with a whimper, that'll never be said about a Steven pressley team and never again"

......

After winning 2-1

If we win FU SBT! however it will be something about some of our play being excellent, being positive in high areas, frustrating as we worked all week on our transition play, keep going, outstanding effort...

We pressed much better in the second half. Jack Finch is exceptional for an 18 year old (though perhaps not as good as Dele Alli next week - that's me, not SP!). Young George Thomas when he came on (x goals down, with 10 minutes left) epitomises what the future of this football club is about - although we will have to listen to offers in the Summer, as you can't hold on to a player if he is unhappy. Reda, James Maddison and Frank have all suffered small setbacks, but could be available for the last couple of games. Followed by - I'm not a quitter

I understand the fans frustration, we're frustrated too but I'll always be honest in my assessment. We were outstanding today and Nigel Clough turned around to his assistant and said in the second half I'd settle for a 4-0 here so the fact we scored a superb goal is a testament to what we're trying to do at this football club.

that was a quality performance against a team who have spent a lot of money and are pushing for automatic promotion at the top of the division, they were very organised and knew how we play. we held our own for the entire 90 mins and were equal to them to a man. the 6 goals we conceded were unfortunate to say the least, the wind took the first one in, the sun shining off the ref's whistle into the keepers eyes for the third, well no one could anticipate that happening, and a cruel deflection off that dog that ran on the pitch for the fifth, just goes to show when your at the top the luck goes with you. and it was a definite penalty in the 95 min, he's a honest lad and wouldn't have gone down like a victim of American sniper if he hadn't been clipped, to be honest if that one had gone our way it could have changed the whole game............... thank you geoff.

The stats show that we had 51% of the ball. It proves that we dominated the game.

Our strikers also played well. We scored with the only shot that we had. They only scored 4 goals and missed on 23 other attempts.

I've just read through this thread again, and found that for a good majority of posts I was reading the words (in my head) in a Scottish accent, as if listening to SP's post match CWR interview. I have to say, it's quite amusing to recognise some old favourite phrases (that I'd forgotten) like 'transitional play' to go alongside the standard 'high pressing game. I can't even think of the word 'outstanding' without hearing it in a Scottish accent !!

We are now starting to get the balance of the squad right the signing of Stokesy is fantastic he has the right dna and the correct colour piss, Stokesy will soon get his fitness up to the standard of the rest of the group and in 5 weeks time will be the outstanding player at his club. We will not be renewing Jonesy's contract as he shouted at Webster today and I will not have that sort of attitude towards my best player. We have the 4th choice goalkeeper from Bedworth United on trial and if we can get two or three out of the door should be able to bring him in on a long term deal (1 month).

Today was my 100th in charge and I think it was the best so far, I could not have asked for more from my players, their work rate was fantastic, their resolve, and effort was tireless, we are making great progress and this type of effort will be rewarded with the win soon, we just need to cut out a few of the mistakes which cost us the 4 goals today.

We matched them in nearly every facet of the game (except the important one SP but the interviewer won't have the balls to point that out to you)

"Couldn't fault the lads today, but we need to start scoring goals if we are to win games. I've noticed the teams around us are picking up points, probably because their managers train their players to pass forward and run at goal, but that's not my philosophy here at CCFC, I want to do it the Coventry way, the shit way, the relegation yearly arse twitch way. My 100th game in charge and they still haven't noticed that i'm a Man Utd fan and in love with Van Gaal. I play FM alot and i'm fantastic, so why can't i be in real life?"

I'm absolutely proud of my players just now.

I cannot fault their effort and commitment.

The way they played with the CCFC DNA was outstanding.

I will speak with Jamie Jones about his loan after it has expired ( )

We want to go on a winning run following this defeat.

Webster was an inspiration but we have to finish at least one of the two chances we created to give ourselves a chance of anything you cant go 3 down with all that possession, but our high tempo pressing game deserved a lot more.I couldn't of asked anymore from my team we are all hurting in there but my wage packet cheered me up a wee bit.

Sadly I think it will take more than that for our clueless owners to sack our clueless manager.

Why is that then?

Are we not allowed to question his post match comments?

Or do you think that he's doing great, speaks very well and should be above any shit?

Even though we lost 3-2 and gave away a 2 goal lead, I can't fault the lads and we deserved 3 points.
