JH turned things around almost immediately. There is no comparison between SP/SISU and the JH tenure. JH was a brilliant ideas man and was fully backed by the club. He was able to sign top players - the best available for the positions he wanted to strengthen. It was a different age, we had a superb team with no weaknesses and loyal players who stayed for season after season. No loanees either.

In truth JH took us from Old Div 3 to Div 1 in just over 5 seasons, fact.

I know because I was lucky enough to be THERE!

If 'Elvis' is lucky enough to get 5 yrs, let's see where we are then?

I don't see him being that successful after 5 years to be honest.

Stephen Pressley (not the cringeworthy nickname fucking 'elvis' because he shares his surname with an American rock legend) won't be 'lucky' enough to get 5 years because by that time he will have driven us to footballing oblivion (with the help of SISU of course). By that time, even the most loyal of supporters - the core if you like - such as myself will have given up.

What are your reasons for wanting Pressley to remain in charge for 5 years? Is it because he is a nice guy? Has a bit of passion about him? That's the only justification I'm able to provide right now because almost 2 years down the line he has taken us nowhere! And lets not forget, this season there are no restrictions. His team, his tactics, at the Ricoh!

If we're lucky he'll have cemented us firmly just above the relegation zone in league two, but we're talking five years so he could even surpass this feat and actually get us into the conference.

Actually, he doesn't share his surname with an "American rock legend". His surname is PRESSLEY - with two 'S's. Elvis' surname was PRESLEY - just the one 'S'.
I'll still refer to SP as Elvis though, because I like to.

Ok smarty pants but in that case it makes the resemblance even less meaningful! I will continue to refer to him as useless twat until he goes or somehow manages to turn it round. I will then accept I know nothing about football...

But yet few weeks ago SW and SP both said he has money to spend!!!!!!!! I don't trust SP with money or to be honest to tell the truth the club is being ran, he is now apart of this while following the company stance..... He now sounds like the owners when giving excuses why we can't win games or compete,, he should be lucky he still has a job in football with his record.... But then again Sisu are in control of that, so no shock its another poor decision that the club will pay for!!!!!!!!!

to be honest SP does win me around with his vision talk more often than not. after doncaster i wanted him out but then i read stuff like the above or developing youth like southampton etc and i decide i will back him for a bit longer yet.

maybe just maybe he will be right..............maybe.

I started supporting the City when Jimmy Hill took over and all I can remember is watching us win games and get promotion,so if it took him a while to settle in I must have wiped it from my memory. Managers these days rarely get time to build a winning team like back then,in fact Jimmy built the Sky Blue revolution not just a successful side.
Pressley knows the majority of us want him out but he wants time and I've a feeling Fisher and his cronies will give him as much time as he wants !
