I think you're right, we are stuck with him. He sticks within the budget and doesn't make waves. He's SISUs wet dream, a puppy who is quickly house trained and doesn't bark. He could man up and tell Fisher it's an impossible task under these circumstances and demand better finances - or fall on his sword through principle. That's why I can't support Pressley, he's too weak to admit he's weak.

We'll never know if the non renewing of contracts, or the bombing of Baker etc was forced on him ... so while it may be a bad, hand it's Presley's choice to play with those cards. I'd love him to try and bluff Fisher into folding, but Fisher knows he limps along with bottom pair and will bottle any raise.

Problem isn't the players, Generally, over the last few poor performances they have all played 'OK' individually. The problem is the set up of the team. No Wingers with Madine in the side was criminal for a start. We have no width except for full backs pushing on (bear in mind one is playing on the left and is right footed). O'brien for all of his work and running helps the team to lose any shape it might have had. We are too slow in possession. We are a team with a shape that the players and fans can see doesn't work (i doubt it exists). I have never called for a manager to be sacked, but I fear that Pressley is the problem we have.
The squad we have IS good enough to be pushing for a play off spot but the squad aren't the problem, its the way they are set up to play.

Your right Rednapp walked due to a lack of investment. He has principles an a work ethic

Pressley is deluded and a yes man. I think Waggott and fisher keep telling him he is a doing a good job and he thinks he is!!!

If we drop into the relegation zone I don't see how they could keep him. Whilst he continues to just bob along just above the bottom 4 I get the feeling he is safe.

I think he should go but the players are also a fucking disgrace. The likes of Jackson have turned up and done fuck all.

He is making far to many mistakes but the main issue with this situation is who owns this club they do not care.

Who defends Pressley anymore ? We all know now he's clueless and he should be out the door. But hang on, I met two "fans" a couple of weeks ago in the Old Crown on Windmill Road both wearing Wasps shirts who were both saying what a great job he was doing.I found out they both stopped going to games years ago so how the hell do they know he's doing fine ? I called them traitors anyway for wearing Wasps tops but they replied at least the rugby team are in a higher league. Pair of tossers !

Don't think anyone does defend him however the owners are the real reason behind our demise. They give him a budget for loaness who lets be honest won't care if ccfc got relegated. Last night was another depressing night and the Ricoh was just soulless. Thanks sisu

Principles that included him making up a reason to go?

In fact Harry Redknapp... principles?!?

Nothing will change until JS, TF and SW go. SP is crap and clueless, but look who brought him here after extensive research. The budget is miserly, and we are dinning off other people's spillage. I feel I have no connection anymore with the people who represent Coventry City FC. Yet the name means so much to me!

However, few of the players can feel particularly settled. Positions change every game - playing Willis as a left back is beyond me. There have been very few settled partnerships allowed to develop, let alone a settled team. Has Jackson played 3 consecutive games ? (maybe, but without checking, I doubt it). The same could, I suspect, be the same for a lot of our players, so it's hardly surprising there has been little consistency from the team. Part of this shambles is a combination of taking chances on injury prone players and short-term loanees. Hardly a recipe for a team gelling?

It's ok...a drop down a division will do us good. We'll win more games etc etc. I'll get us some South Coast League Two On Tour t-shirts done. We'll piss League Two.

Oh. Hang on....

Look at the teams around us like Yeovil, Crewe, Orient, Gillingham and Scunny, all down with us and we recently can't even beat them. Are there really 4 teams out there worse than us presently?

oh come on get real....this isn't about Jackson gelling or scoring goals and having telepathic communication with his team mates. Let's not just pick on Jackson here, let's be fair. It is about professional footballers showing they have a glimmer of technical ability, a smidgen of tactical awareness, half a heart, a shred of commitment...basically a fucking clue about football.....they should be doing better with or without Pressley. The only formation they recognise is the PIN number to their bank account.

But why should they bother when JS has failed in every arena she has entered with CCFC. Time to shake the tree of rotten fruit.

I bet there is a long list of managers lined up to take over from him, no money, no chance of signing anyone and knowing that if you turn out a gem they will be sold at the next transfer window.

I'm not defending him, he's big enough to do that himself, but even if Fergie was here with these owners we would be shite, you cannot have donkey's running like race horses, no matter how good you are.
