I see Pressley has spoke about the dead line day activity to the CET. Says he's going to keep on the trail of a player we almost signed on deadline day, but as it died a death, before reigning later in the evening, it didn't happen.

Also spoke about Sheff and Jennings leaving close to the deadline, and for more than the club would have liked.

Interesting comment that caught my eye was the following:

“In all negotiations there comes a point of compromise so both sides had to move to find the agreeable figure,” he said.

That's an interesting comment to make. If this can be adopted around players contracts, why can't the same principle be adopted around the Ricoh negotiations?

Or is the issue here that Waggott and Pressley, who are in charge of the playing matters, have a common sense approach, and the ones who deal with the off field problems do not?

I can't believe we're not in for Josh Carson, what a talent, or maybe we are? Who knows.

Good spot sw88. but “In all negotiations there comes a point of compromise so both sides had to move to find the agreeable figure,” requires an element of wisdom and humility from both parties. Timmy has neither.

That's not fair Fisher and Seppala do move on negotiations! It's just always in the other direction!

Would be delighted with either of them. Dicko has pace to burn and can play up top and Hall was very highly thought of at Southend but hasn't happened for him at Leeds.

He wasn't well thought of at Wolves though and that's where we wasted our 1 million +. Every signing is a risk. Look at Torres at Chelsea.
