He will say it was out of character compared to recent preformances. He is so good at (hollow) spin he could almost get the Monster Raving Looney partty into Downing Street

Here we go...

3-0 could have been flattering to them.
At home we have to do better
Disapointing as they worked on high press, didnt execute it well enough
allowed them to dictate

The didn't execute one seems to be getting more use recently. Is it because they don't know what they should be doing or because they think what they're being told to do is wrong?

No they did not execute it very well. That is down to the manager. We need to do better every game not just at home. After last week he had a right to expect better from them but having changed the team and formation it's no wonder the 'team' is confused and perhaps lacking in direction? He should be angry and disappointed.

SP "We had the players to beat Swindon......."

...To quote him on CWR after the match.

I'm sorry but no. When the individual parts are worth more than the sum of those parts as a whole then it is time for the manager to consider his position.

Pressley is just another one of SISU's spokesmen. The guy is very adept at articulating positives all round from what has been another dismal half to a season. Lets not insult Swindon though, they are a damn good team, trouble is we are not even close and our teams lack of real honest passion shows in every challenge. Webster is an absolute twat, he's only playing because either A, we have no one else B He's Scottish or C He's Scottish !

Can someone tell me what formation that was tonight .We had people who dont want to tackle dont want to run off the ball dont seem interested in recieving the ball even when they do the only pass they look for is sideway. We want to walk the ball in try shooting try taking an opposing player try passing to someone in blue.In fact i wonder what goes on in training because what we see on matchdays is sh1t

I believe we have no future on and off the pitch, we are stuck with Sisu and we are stuck with Pressley , he's unsackable whilst he has the four year contract in his pocket.

at least three more years with Pressley I think, and God knows how many years we are stuck with Sisu.

i just can't see any light at the end of the bloody great big tunnel we are in.

my wife commented on why I wasn't screaming at the tele tonight like I used to, I think somwhere at the back of my brain it's giving up on the club without me realising it's happening. I didn't once get on my feet and shout, not even when we nearly scored with the Thomas and Fleck chances.

Try to keep some perspective on all this folks.
After all as shown on MOTD last night - the very same fans & media that were baying for David Moyes's blood this time last year are oh so much more upbeat this season with LVG in charge...even though his record has delivered nothing more.
We may yet be flying high again by the season's end...or not.

When Pressley said to the interviewer that the second half had some positives why do they not ask him what they are rather than asking the next question?

The only positive I could see is that no-one got sent off for a second yellow.

Not many in that side will ever get sent off for a tackle as there can't be a softer side in the league.

I think, in a nutshell, there was just as much shit in the 80's as now-it's just that shit was more entertaining.

No I didnt go, I finished late from work and for once was glad I did. Sat there last night watching with at first disbelief, then embarrassment and then a growing sense of I don't care any more. Followed by a masochistic moment of listening to Pressley interviewed. This morning trying as best I can to erase the memory of last night.

Yes there were some good things (stay with me on this) there were moments of decent passing, of movement, of attacking, of actual attempts at goal. But they were just that .... moments. There was no consistent quality, no sustained pressure, no commitment, no rolling the sleeves up and getting stuck in. How Pressley can take real positives from that shambles is beyond me.

"We performed much better in the second half". Well yes but by that time Swindon who are a good team in this poor division had taken their foot off the gas. You knew that if they needed to they could step up several gears and really nail us.

"We have to take our chances" well yes we do but we also need to set up to go win games. Pressley sets up not to lose and doesn't really know how to change it. I do not mean by that throw three strikers at a game and see if it comes off, got to be more organised and clear as to what we are doing on match days, the players have got to understand their roles and buy in to it. Clearly they do not. I watched Pressley "explaining" to Madine on the sideline during a break in play....... Pressley wasn't listening to or accepting any input from Madine and the bemused look and comment Madine made to Jackson following it spoke volumes.

"We worked on the high press all week". Great but it only works if all the team do it. It doesn't work if the defence is slow and stay deep. It doesn't work if the teams idea of high press is to run up to a player then once he moves let him go. Players have to run with the opposition players not just let them go. Even then the team has to keep its shape not leave gaps all over the place.

There is no pace in that team..... either physically or mentally. The defence is disorganised, the midfield light weight and the forwards give you no confidence that they can score. Last night you couldn't even say they had good possession because the stats clearly say otherwise

Please someone explain to me why Webster and Martin are considered first choice, except if there is no other choice I just do not see it. They have no pace, they react slowly, have the turning circle of the QE2. As a defence we were pulled all over the shop we had little shape and little bite in the tackle.

For once I felt sorry for Allsop. He had very little cover infront of him. As for Webster berating him first half for not coming out to edge of box when it was Websters ball to deal with is it any wonder the lad isn't consistent in his decision making.

For me there were few if any players taking responsibility. The senior players shout at others but half the time that is just to deflect from a mistake they themselves have made.

Pressley frankly doesn't seem to have a clue, and doesn't see what is in front of his face

Embarrassing

People used to wind me up or take the piss the day after a defeat. Now they just look like they feel a bit sorry for me and say nothing. Like out of respect for a dead relative or something.

Yes all the local Leicester crowd round here all associate me with CCFC before anything else, they used to love a dig if we lost now they don't even bother, they can't believe how low we have fell.

I saw that bit too. I'm not calling for Pressley's head, but there was something odd about that conversation - it looked very much as though Pressley was yelling at the player (Madine?) to do something, and the player wasn't convinced at all. I'm probably reading too much into it, but it didn't look like there was much mutual respect between the manager and the player there.

Generally speaking, I didn't see anyone (other than perhaps Nouble) busting a gut out there, or looking like they expected to get anything from the game. Worrying.
