Of course it would be great if we could get someone in guaranteed to score 10 - 15 goals and fire us to promotion but how much is a player like that going to cost in the January window?
Plus you'd have to move players out, we're not in a position to have a player like Godden, who if we singed him for £750K will be on decent wages, sat on the bench or in the U23s.
We are in the driving seat at the moment. We don't need to gamble. Upsetting the apple cart because there's money coming in won't help. We play a system and people fit into it. spending money on someone that more than likely wont fit the system is a waste.
Having said that, If they could sign Walsh on a permanent now I'd be very happy.
