Always supported RG 'till now.

Thought his questions were poor today.
It's not his job to wind up the manager who has us top of the league. His opening gambit should be "well done on being totleague at the end of January" & then moved on from there.

Instead he is immediately into the Norwich defeat , our 2 month away form & asking the manager if he's playing 3 centre backs tomorrow ? Like he would answer that ??

No respect RG.

He's not God. Perhaps the questions should be a bit more prickly. Surely it goes with the territory. We're playing poorly at present, so what are his thoughts??

Accepting our away form is an issue of sorts...we have just won 2 of the last 3.

Our away form is shite Frank . Why's that ?
Probably because we're still playing the same tactics we did at Sheffield Wednesday. We're sussed now aren't we ?
Sorry I'm not an ex pro but just asking

Rule of thumb I have is is the manager seeing things you’re seeing and it’s a bit worrying how he sounds like some of the cope artists here pretending it’s just one bad game and not a two month run of poor performances. Maybe he’s just an “always be positive to the media” type but it comes across as deluded at times.

If Frank goes we need you to take over.

Haaland a) also comes across as a dick and b) is one of the best in the world at what he does and c) that random journalist probably isn’t the closest thing to a representative of the fans Man City have.

Elite athletes often do come across like that, especially in football which is more dog eat dog than any other sport.

OK but he’s a second tier manager, not an elite athlete at the end of the day.

As always, poor questions but can’t say I see it as Frank does.

“If you call it a difficult time beating Leicester, Millwall and then losing to Norwich”

Come on Frank… been playing poor for a while and have 4 wins in 12…. That and the lack of dealing with the counter is what I’d like you to address.

There is no point talking about 12 games ago is there? If you can just make your reference points up, why not 20 games? 28 games? The facts are that form is fundamentally referring to recency of results.

I mean as much as I think there is a place for 3-5-2 it isn't happening in a squad that has currently got 5 wingers in it, so it is an entirely pointless and redundant question.

Been great since August overall though, won 2 of the last 3. Why isn't that the reference point?

So, for you , it is about giving wingers "game time". Not results?

Are you serious? Leicester at home, first half, could have been 3 down, half time. Millwall, superb 20 minutes, first half, then battered. If we had scored a second, in that 20 minutes, we would have cruised it. Norwich away. How in earth we were 1 up , at half time, is beyond me. We have been poor for 7/8 weeks, unlucky, as well.

Why question it? Why wouldn't you?

Just seen the interview. RG seemed to shit himself part way through the bit about back 5 / midfield and was almost rambling by the time he lost out to FL’s stare. Very funny but I do like that he put it out there.

If you are stupid enough to think that Rob Gurney has any authority over what appropriate tactics are compared with the man who has lead a team to the top of the table for the last four months then that's on you.

It’s in the way the question is delivered. As if some of the tactical issues are oblivious to Frank and that the interviewer has an equal grasp of what’s going on. Can understand if Frank wants to get pissy with that kind of question.
