Nothing to do with Sisu. Mowbray wanted control of his budget and how he spends it. Taking the power away from SISU is why we have the squad we do. Well done to Mowbray it's nothing to do with SISU pulling their fingers out of anywhere let alone your arse.

They'd all be wanking like 15 year old lads if he signed for any of those clubs in our league. We must be paying a fraction of his wage if we have less money than last year and have spent some of that playing budget on Venus and hotel stays and can still bring in the players we have this year. On top of that we haven't gained any major cash from player sales and had to pay off Pressley and MacFarlane.

If he plays at 50% we will benefit from him being here. And like someone mentioned if Maddison was fit and training with him it would also be a plus. Got a feeling if he is match fit he will play just behind Fortune with Armstrong and Kent out wide cutting in. I don't think he will be here long past the 35 days though. Hope I am wrong.

Also wondering where we stand with Eagles now. Telegraph stated we could have him signed within 2 weeks and he's only just come in on trial. By the end of the 35 days Eagles, if signed, should be match fit and if Cole goes back will be there to step in.

On the Burton forum I noticed this:

Coventry are or have also signed Chris Eagles, its has always been that the bigger clubs in this division and those like Wigan receiving parachute payments will be able to add to their squads, this will be particularly noticeable in the transfer windows. The financial clout they have will be considerably more than ours and definitely gives them an advantage.

If only.

What parachute? We've been in free fall for more than a decade.

Think we have to thank Gerard Houlier for pulling it off after all this time.

Interesting article / interview with Stokes after the game. He comments (re cole) "Asked how he first heard the news, he said: “I heard on social media; looked at my phone when I got out of the shower and couldn’t believe it. I had to press refresh to make sure it was right."

Yet someone else associated with the club tweeted that they've known for weeks? I know who I believe it telling the truth

So it's not feasible that the marketing guy knew and the players didn't?

From the Sheff utd forum:

Coventry have been cheating the FFP for years. When they were groundless they still managed to pay Calum Wilson; Leon Clarke, Mousa in midfield etc.
Its a joke that they haven't been penalised but corrupt clubs prosper in English football.

The same Callum Wilson who was in his first season of proper football? The same Franck Moussa who was without a club before signing? Leon Clarke who wasn't happy with the wage he had so can't have been on much? Yes, we must have been breaching FFP mustn't we
