Initially it was clearly survival. Thorn I am sure had that remit but failed to deliver.

I think the past ten years the manager was changed to bring us promotion. As they achieved keeping us up and got sacked.

Would have been interesting to see how one of these managers did over 5 years.

Get a win at Yeovil and then that could be the confidence boost for the next two home game. Win the first three then nost teams we play will be defensive.

Lose against Yeovil then .......

Yes I understand you have other things on your mind. You potentially are going to be bashed with a warm steak slice

No they were changed because the previous manager was in a slump - Reid, Adams, Dowie, Coleman, Boothroyd. The initial brief for every one of these managers was to achieve survival which they did. You could add Thorn to this in his caretaker role (but we would have survived anyway). Are you saying Thorn was changed to bring promotion last season?

I said it before the friendlies and again after putting 8 past Hinckley and sticking to it. It's too easy to knee jerk following a few good or bad results.

Friendlies are hard to judge or predict how the season ahead will go,, but in saying this i dont think AT will have many games left if we start the season poorly, time will tell.

Erratic results - mid table form - shrinking attendances - losses mount - SISU wave white flag - administration - 10 point deduction

So far our friendly results have shown we are too good for Blue Square North and not good enough for Blue Square Premier.......

......We will finish 3rd and lose in play off final. Thorn sacked by October. Carsley sacked at end of the season due to fan pressure.

A slow start but will get more competitive as the season progresses. Top 6 until turn of the year, then a late push for the automatics. Will just miss out on second spot. A trip to wembley will follow where promotion will be achieved. Prediction: 3rd in League 1. Playoff final Winners. JPT semi finalists, knocked out by someone like Crawley or Southend.
