Between now and the Bradford game, please predict
1) how many more league games we'll win, and
2) how many more points we'll win

1 - No more than 2 wins until relegation is confirmed and then maybe a bonus win afterwards. I think we'll maybe beat Southend and Port Vale, and then one of Charlton or Walsall after relegation is a mathematical certainty

2 - take the three wins above and throw in 3 draws (MK Dons, Bristol R and the other of Charlton/Walsall), that gives us a further 12 points. Total points for the season = 38.

Last entry before KO against Bradford - then at the end of the season we'll review this thread and see who got closest on both counts....

1. 4 wins

2. 14 points

Total of 40 points.

I think we will get the odd win here and there, but could get a couple of wins on the bounce maybe once relegation is confirmed and the pressure is off.

2 wins, 3 draws - 9 more points = 35 for season.

Wins:
Home V Port Vale/Charlton

Draws:
Home V Southend/Bristol Rovers/Walsall

We will lose all remaining away games

Throwing this in here, I have a really bad feeling we will be mathematically relegated away to Sheff U whilst the same game will mathematically promote them.

1. 5 League wins
2. 19 more points in total. ( 5 wins and 4 draws).

Think a couple of the wins will come after relegation and he plays the CCFC contracted players and kids. Priority for me is to have next years manager in place asap. Slade or whoever needs to be able to fully evaluate next years squad. If it's going to be Slade tell him now and let's all support him. Will it happen, highly unlikely under Fisher and Venus leadership. Hope I'm proved wrong.

I think 4 wins and 3 draws giving us 41 points. That 15 points out of 33 and in reality a major change in form/success

I would find it in a sense easier to take relegation by a point or two, because that would mean the team gave it everything they could and there was potential momentum for a decent season in L2.

However I think we are too far adrift and with this squad led by a manager who has proven pretty clueless I don't really see it happening. For instance I cant help thinking we got a point yesterday in spite of Slade not because of him - so I am not at all confident about my prediction

4 wins 3 draws 4 losses - 42 points

We should go for broke in our 6 home games 18 points would frighten the fucker above us, panic causes so many unexpected results

Once the pressure is off a team they are capable of winning all their games that are left

Our current points to games ratio does point to 35 if we continue to accrue points at the current rate until the end of the season.

Yeah. I will adjust mine a little.

1. 10 wins

2. 1 draw, no defeats, giving 31 points.

Season total 57 points.

Not enough wins to stay up. New manager will still struggle to achieve anything because squad is so poor. The team has finished off 3 managers. Too many weaknesses. Not enough quality in the important areas of the pitch. Almost an impossible to job to win games with this current squad.

Well yeah, whichever way you look at it we are relegated.

I think we may well now have an excellent finish to the season. It won't be enough though.

If we were to win 7, draw 2 and lose just 2 we would still come up short.

Well I am proved wrong. Three weeks to late, mind you. Just hope MR has a mininimum 18 month contract.

I agree, a short term deal is not conducive to progress where Robins is concerned, he has to be given time, whatever league we're in.

I feel a little more confident about L2 with Robins in charge, tbh.

A big improvement but not enough to escape the drop. We will be relegated with two games remaining.

I guess it will be typical us and almost rescue us from relegation but be a couple of points short making us rue those few games where we had got points but lacked concentration and conceded late

Yeah, slightly optimistic there that the League will be kind to us and slip and extra couple of games in without others noticing.

We need to win 8 out of 11.
