A bit premature I know but I have entered my forecast for the first set of fixtures.

Pressed the SAVE button nothing visual happened - is there a response message that tells you the forecast has been accepted in the system ???

Yeah, it saves the scores for you

When the games happen it will tell you how many points you have scored!
