the first pre-season friendly has been announced against Nuneaton Town (or the 'boro if you're old)

Remember the good old days when we went to little teams like Burton,Northampton and Oxford in pre-season to earn them a few quid? I suppose it'll be Valley Sports and Bedworth and Hinckley who will be the next ones to overtake us.

Mowbray has said he doesn't want to play other L1 teams so it will be mostly L2 teams in pre-season.

He's also looking to take the squad away after Nuneaton but only want to play one game while away.

Same here. Doesn't clash with the Euros so will try to get over where ever it is. Lake Garda would be nice again.

I missed that as was so last minute by the time it'd been announced I'd booked up Barcelona. As long as they do it in good time, I intend on going over (where ever it is). Nothing better to do

If it's just one game though, might look at a 'holiday' before then go for the game if it's realistic!

“We’re playing Nuneaton first and then probably fly off if we’re going abroad the following day which will be at the end of our first bit of preparation.
“We’ll play a game out there and then come back and play Tuesday/Saturday/Tuesday/Saturday for a couple of weeks.

We always play Nuneaton pre-season, does anyone remember the time we played Leicester at Nuneaton in a friendly don't know why but what a night that was !

I remember going up to Jockland pre season some years back where Nuddy was unplayable against Morton and total shite against Clydebank so hope its not there again

Strange having a Friday night tie? But I'm not complaining

We'll be getting more use out of Nuneaton than they will at this rate
