Home from homeI was there a couple of weeks ago as a friend of a friend lives there (Cov lad).
Around by the station and red light distract is like a scene from a Zombie movie with crack heads left right and centre but the rest of the city is lovely.
All the bars around Rittergasse make for a great night out!!

Stansted is better.Stanstead by far best option

hope no one has booked flights to Frankfurt Hahn. its nowhere near frankfurt
It may be cheaper doing it that way but 2hr car to stansted and back will be £50 fuel. Parking another £50 there. not to mention coach journey in germany then weekend on the beer and driving back to cov from stansted. rather pay the extra on my doorstep and fly direct for the sake of £90it’s £98 to travel from Stanstead to Cologne with a 2 hour coach at the other end for only £25 return. Way cheaper from Birmingham and great flight times
5 of us sharing a car so £10 each for fuel. Same for parking. Flights almost £300 less per person. No brainer for us. result. only 2 of us. the rest had already booked germany for the euros. 1 night in Frankfurt and 2 in Darmstadt for us

Stansted is a bitch to get to. Always bad traffic. 2.5/3 hrs every time I’ve flown from there.Stansted is better.
