Nuneaton 0-0 Coventry
Portsmouth 2-1 Coventry (Chaplin actually scored lol)
Luton 1-1Coventry
Cambridge 1-0 Coventry
Leamington 0-0 Coventry XI
Oxford 0-0 Coventry

We went on to finish 8th that season... scoring 67 goals (arguably should have done better) But of perspective guys... nothing is won or lost in pre-season.

Agree , but at the same time we need to buy the goalscorer

Ponticelli is not the man to do that - I would actually prefer 2 signings a perm and a loan up top, and send Ponti to League 2 on loan provided he gets a guaranteed start

Max can start alongside a Mcnulty replacement - and then at full strength we should be quite strong

we may want to consider a loan to replace Jodi until he is up to speed
Also the replacement keeper is a possible signing

So 2 perm signings and 2 prem loans for me - and we will be there (only 1 perm needed if O Brien stays)

We do, but at that time Armstrong was unproven and Nobody knew Murphy would be as good as he was.

We’ve got an England u19 player to come in, a central midfielder who captained his side to third in this league and Bayliss to come back.

Who’s to say JCH isn’t going to score, he looked alright last season albeit rusty, Max could quite easily carry on his improvement and Andreu could become the creative force we’ve been missing, along with a returning Jones. Now is now the time to panic... if we’re still in trouble after 10 games then we rethink about this but until the season starts, we have no idea what the team is going to be like.

Alongside this I fully believe Robins has options. To take the old Pressley and Mowbray comments “were probably waiting for the prem teams to finalise their squads”
