Am I imagining it or did the Honeycombs once perform in front of the main stand at Highfield Road?

The only band who I remember playing in front of the main stand was an R&B outfit called The Sorrows.

Ken Dodd performed at the fa cup match against Man United 1963. First game the skyblue song was sung.

You're right Dutchman, they did. I was there too. They sang their hit "Have I the right"The Sorrows did perform at HR as well, and they were a "Coventry band"

Sonia was the first Sky Monday Night game at HR.Seem to remember we won 1-0 with a goal from John "He's so fast it's unbelievable" Williams.

@ DTD.....John Williams, the Flying Postman!....For a big man he could certainly run lol.@ WestEndAgro.....I think Sonia was booed because she is a Scouser.

Thanks Sky Blue Kid, I thought I might have got them mixed up with another group.

By the way the group's name is a play on the the fact that female drummer Honey Lantree was a also hairdresser, hence 'Honey combs'.
