Both times, left midfielder comes off and striker moves out to the left.

Southend was the 62nd minute. We scored in 54th.

With exception to Wimbledon last week where he had a stinker (but the whole team had a stinker so can't really single him out) Hiwula has been pur best striker on the pitch, yet every week he'll get dragged out to the left wing or subbed of to make way for JCH. Chaplin offers nothing 99% of the time yet persistently plays (and offers nothing) for 90 mins while (what would seem our most natural goalscorer) gets dragged or played out of position.
Robins is seeming more and more inept every week.
I genuinely can't remember the last time he made a substitution that actually made a positive impact on the match. Maybe as far back as Charlton away with Bakayoko?

And that's all. I've just gone back through the results this season. Charlton away and Southend away (both back in October) are the ONLY 2 occasions Robins has made a substitution that's had any positive impact on the game.

Clarke Harris scored with his first touch 3 weeks ago didn’t he?

I'll half give you that. It was in a game we were winning and were coasting in. Wycombe didn't test us once really. It's when it's against us and were looking to get something back from a draw/losing position.

Plus, other than that goal, I didn't think JCH offered much else to that game tbf.

Honestly !!.

I don’t think we are far off getting this right.

Still in the mix in the top 10, the season after promotion. You only have to look at players like Doyle and grimmer (both key to last seasons success) to realise we are going through a period of transition and development as a team and squad at this level.

Which is what makes his idiotic sub more frustrating

Same last week. We finnaly score and he subs hiwula off

Today's game their number 9 holds it up so well. Jch had similar chance in extra time and he stopped holding ball up to appeal for a foul.

What other options are there? Already scraping the barrel with McCallum and Westbrooke...

Hasn't Chaplin scored 3 goals in the last 4 games?

Robins has to an extent dug himself a hole as he’s all but banished ogogo and brown and having given him a new contract realises Doyle isn’t up to it either. So the 3 most experienced players aren’t really considered anymore

Robins can't win.

He makes changes and people say he should have left it.

He doesn't make changes and people demand he makes some.

Football fans are so fickle and I am starting to not enjoy visiting this forum anymore, the fickleness and knee jerk reactions are unbelievable

You do realise that games are different, different games need different things.

How is it knee jerk to be annoyed we went from winning to lose the game?

The subs had nothing to do with today's defeat, just a coincidence.

I disagree. The subs totally changed our game play and put us on the back foot being defensive rather than dominating and attacking.
When they then scored we had bo impact going forward as the best player had been taken off

It isn't just the substitutions.

All our weakest elements in games just seem automated.

They scored immediately following the sub, there was no time for it to have had such an impact on the game. We still made chances even after that. Just another defeat where we should have won comfortably
