It’s as simple as the title suggests; what are people’s plans before and after the game: To what extent are they results dependent? Are people spending Sunday and/or Monday night in London? If we win, are people planning to celebrate in Coventry or London? Etc etc.

Before the game last year we aimed for a few of our favourite pubs in Farringdon, so essentially away from Wembley, yet bumped into Coventry fans in every pub!

After the game we drank around Wembley and central London for a while, before we caught the last train to Coventry but were initially disappointed as the only place open in town was the Oak, which is always a last resort. However as the night progressed more and more fans arrived and a few of the players did too. Fantastic day and night overall.

What are the plans for this year?!

For the checkatrade I had fancy tickets from an EFL partner so had to be at the ground early. So missed all the build up and atmosphere.

So my plans will be head in to London for before 11 on the train full of Exeter fans. Then head over to Wembley way and find a pub.

Beers on Wembley High Road, Flanerrys, the Liquor station and lastly JJ Moons. Not too pissed though want to savour the occasion.
If we win, back to the Liquour Station to party n get steaming! Mental in there after Checkatrade.

The one just off Oxford Street is good. We'll probably be go there as it's always my lad's request for lunch when we go to London.

We just went to the bar outside Euston and by the time we got to the pubs by Wembley they weren't letting any more in. So went to the shop and bought some cans.

We were in the Arch before the game last year which had half of Wyken in and was a good laugh but going to go the Green Man this year.

After think our trains about half 7 from Watford so will probably head straight back and then go on the lash around Cov again.

I will awaken upon the first bird song and feast on Nutrigrain bars until my blood sugar spikes to pre diabetic levels. At this point I'll hit the gym and do several stretches before downing five cans of special brew and a few luke warm cocktail sausages to even out my blood sugar. I'll then power walk to the train station.

I have no plans after that.

Yeah, we had cans on Wembley Way as well. Nowhere was open around Euston before 12 with the exception of O'Neills. I don't know what it'll be like this time, should hope a few more pubs are open.

The Euston Flyer which is next to O'Neills was open from at least 11.00 last year.

Not close to Wembley as it's in the centre of London but it's only a relatively quick tube trip. It gets busy though, last time we went it was full at noon.

I am due in at half 10 this time, I'll be joining the local vagrants on the grass in front of Euston at this rate!

The Rocket appears to be open from 08.00
Doric Arch usually 08.00 on a Monday, can't see it being much different on a Bank Holiday
Royal George opens at 11.00

Flyer was pretty decent and worth going to, plenty of Cov but not too rammed at 11.00 last year so plan to do the same.

I'm baffled how people know which pubs and which times they will be in, we will just have a beer and then a wayne wander and go wherever is on the way.

Only reason I know which pub and what time is because I'm meeting a big group of people coming from all different locations.

We’ll be in Kilburn from around 0930 and back there afte the match. Whilst the atmosphere around Wembley will be excellent; I’d prefer not to stand 5 deep at the bar waiting to be served.

To be fair it all goes so quickly having a plan helps avoiding wasting valuable time before the game, especially if you aren’t drinking around Wembley. If your plan is to get to the ground and drink around there then your idea works.

I really don’t want to curse things, but IF we do win, it would be good for a pub/bar/club in Coventry to do something a bit special for those coming back from Wembley.

Yes town was very quiet after the Final last year .
Not helpful taking over an hour escaping the Wembley coach park .
Subdued the euphoria being trapped in a coach seat for well over 3hrs .

It was definitely anti climatic, but the Oak turned out to be pretty good in the end!

Let’s hope we have reason to celebrate and when we do a pub is prepared to cater for it!

We didn’t have the issue of the coach last time, we stayed in London until late drinking around there. I imagine we’ll do the same this year before we head back and hopefully find somewhere to go!

Just me going home to bed for work the next day?

Either humming "September" or absolutely fuming and getting in trouble for slamming things about.
