Couldnt afford him in JanuaryI’d take fatawu in jan

I think we’d give West Ham a decent game, and we’d probably beat them at home. Obviously they have top class players like Bowen and Paqueta, that we aren’t anywhere close to. But the point of the transfer market is for us to add that stardust in the summer.Do the same analysis for our first choice XI compared to a pretty honking West Ham team and that gives you a good idea of how much work we would need to do, especially at the back.
Woukd not mindSuppose we have a budget of around £50m for players because they'll be wages on top of that. What do we do? We get 10 x £5m players rather than one £50m player roughly speaking. The value is still going to be abroad, in the main, if we can find the right players.
Lets see what Franks influenece brings in Jan / summer. The way Frank has improved the players in 1 year. Who says they can't make the step up? Luton almost stayed up and barely spent anything. I'd take our team over the Luton one that finished their Premier League season, even now.
They'll have had plans last summer for PL, they won't all be dead and they'll be updated all the time so they'll have a reasonable idea already I would think.Woukd not mind

That’s shockingly pessimistic especially with regard to Rushworth. I’d agree on Sels and Pickford only and probably add Trafford or Kelleher to the list.Thomas I'd swap for Danso & Collins
Henderson is more comparable with Grimes and yes I'd probably swap him
Odobert and Christie are backups for their teams
MVE I wouldnt swap
Rushworth I'd swap for Petrovic, Vicario, Pope, Pickford, Leno, Sels and probably Dubravka if we are just looking at them now and not future value
Wright you would swap for Richarlison or Igor Jesus probably.
Trafford isnt bottom half prem, Leno is quality as is Pope. That’s shockingly pessimistic especially with regard to Rushworth. I’d agree on Sels and Pickford only and probably add Trafford or Kelleher to the list.
He's not our player though and I doubt Brighton want to sell cheaplyThat’s shockingly pessimistic especially with regard to Rushworth.
He’ll now cost 15mill better teams will want himHe's not our player though and I doubt Brighton want to sell cheaply
I'd like Oshimen tooGo up and go shopping in Harrods
bring madders and Wilson back on a free
Sign mctominey

In a Richard Pryor, Brewster's Millions, type way???Dean Austin would do some serious damage with £100m if we went up, wouldn’t be any of players mentioned on here too.
Who would you want?We would need a Xhaka type signing. Loads of experience at the highest level
Whittaker is a confidence player who has been scoring recently after a long drought. Would cost too much for us and doubt if he is for sale.I’d be looking at Whittaker as a backup option in case Rushworth gets injured, we are light in that area atm
The problem you get as a Prem team though, is that prices double or treble. We got Torp for 2m as a champ team, but as a Prem team we would have been quoted 6m+. 3.5m for Milan would have been 8-10m.Dean Austin would do some serious damage with £100m if we went up, wouldn’t be any of players mentioned on here too.
Sign the best players available, competition for players is so fierce in the Prem.Suppose we have a budget of around £50m for players because they'll be wages on top of that. What do we do? We get 10 x £5m players rather than one £50m player roughly speaking. The value is still going to be abroad, in the main, if we can find the right players.
Who’s Marlon Rogers lolPlayers like Marlon Rogers , Jarrod Bowen and Andy Robertson were all bought from Championship sides so there are players to be found
Sounds like an 80's R&B singerWho’s Marlon Rogers lol
The return on investments could be good as well if one or two turns out to be a top playerIf I were Doug, I'd be tempted to keep the model and only buy young players we can make a turn on. And maybe only five or six of them too: just enough to get our squad numbers up. And spend maybe only 70% of the TV money: an average of £10m - £12m per purchase.
Let's face it, we could spend a fortune and still go down. Better to continue the long game with incremental improvement and long term financial health of the club.
It puts us in prime position to go back up in 27/28 and yoyo until the squad has the quality to stay up.
