Not trying to tempt fate here at all, so this is an IF thread, but IF we do get promoted, when is an official celebration likely to happen?

Bank holiday Monday 4th May? Last game is due to be played on Saturday 2nd.

Just wondering, because I really, really want to come up for it, if we do go up, but am on a bloody party cruise that weekend (not my choice).

Dock back in the UK on Monday 4th.

Likely to be that BH isn't it? That's if it's all sewn up by then. If it went down to the wire, it would surely be the following weekend

Also, something else that could possibly delay it would be that we are officially promoted, but that the champions position is not sealed. Again, that would surely make it the following weekend wouldn't it?

What do we reckon?

Would be great as a nod to the past but I think it would be fitting to cover up all the 87 mentions/signs etc on the bus with ones celebrating the league victory,I just think if these lads pull it off and win the league it needs to be celebrated in its own right as an amazing achievement.

Fuck wheeling out a 40 year old bus. The lads deserve better than that.

But such history with it and it's so iconic.

If it's running okay, I would absolutely love them to be riding that around town.

Didn’t they have it out for one of the marches? I’m sure my mate played guitar on it and I’ve got a photo by it with a can of Red Stripe in hand!

New history new icons. Not everything has to harp back to the good old days. Should we wheel Dave Bennet and Oggy out too?

I think it's a class idea - absolutely fine for this one time - obviously we wouldn't wheel it out everytime we happen to get promoted back up to the Prem but, fuck me,it's better than a shit DJ on a rooftop we got for our promotion to the Championship
