Horrible little team aren't they? Never seen so much diving and whining.
Their winger in the orange boots that went off injured. Went down everytime he touched the ball.
He was cracking though. Beat christie every time.
See Mackail-Smith go right over his own face? That looked horrible, spines aren't meant to do that.

So glad Poyet isnt our manager!! I hate managers who encourage their players to dive, roll around, and get players booked etc. And his touch line antics are unbelieveable! Loved it when the ref (who may I say was absolute shite along with his Tesco side assistant) let Deegan walk off when being subbed, which contradicted what he done when Brighton wanted to sub their injured player earlier in the game. Pure class watching Poyet have a tantrum at the forth official!!

IT was because he was off the pitch when the injury occured ,he came back on and parked himself down near the edge of the pen area, the only decent decision from the ref ,who was another ,of the "stealing the limelight brigade"
We've had some shockers, but today's was the most inept ref of the season. He didn't have a scooby. Constantly shrugging and saying "I dunno." Highlight was after a knock, he forgot that it was a throw-in to us, and seemed poised to award a drop-ball, until the screams of "IT'S A THROW! YOU AWARDED A THROW!" from the crowd reminded him. What a twonk. Linesmen didn't help-I saw at least 6 throws that were blatantly mis-called.
It was the two or three times he awarded a free kick one way only to change his mind that did it for me. Totally incompetent.
Brighton fans view:
I do not share this view at all. City looked good for the 2-0 and at times passed the ball with fluency and focus. I thought City's game plan was to own the Brighton players who have a reputation for being physical. We did that and deserved what we got today. Their fans seem pissed off because they lost against a shit team.

Let's put this into perspective, Coventry were poor. We were poor. We are missing a keeper (Angers was definitely at fault for the 2nd), we miss a midfielder who can control a game and we miss a striker who can score. This to me, and I suspect by many, is obvious. This was a winnable game.
We lack pace and quickness of thought as too often, our midfield slowed it down and they did not support CMS and Paynter adequately. Coventry had a game plan and worked hard for each other. They got men behind the ball when required as were they incisive when required. However, they were still poor.
We also have a problem with referees and the club need to sort it out. This must (MUST) come from Gus as he should lead by example. We picked up two bookings because of our past. Simple.
All in all, we have a lot to sort out. No goals in four games (and we didn't really look like scoring today), four defeats on the bounce and with tough games ahead. We have the players to do it but we are not playing to our strengths. I think the belief has deserted us.
