Yeah, and the stats really suggest that don't they?

I think we have had worse managers and clearly Thorn has had next to nothing to work with however his win/game ratio is probably as bad as any Coventry manager over the past 50 years with the possible exception of Don Howe. And most of these were in the top flight.

Surely if a managers got worse players in the context of the league they are playing in his predecessors have had, then he is bound to have a lower win % and stats.

You have to wonder why if they've got no money then why get rid of boothroyd, would we really be any worse off

I don't think there is any chance of Thorn going, its all down the money and SISU won't spend any. I get the feeling they are happy to see us take the drop. They might be thinking this might devalue the Ricoh and allow them to buy it at a cheaper price. I'm just don't get the Thorn out brigade, I really feel more sorry for him than any other manager we've had in the last 50 years. He has been shit on from a great hight

Fabio Capello.........well, you lot started this!

No one in their right mind is going to want to manage a club run by a bunch of useless tossers who don't give a shit about the team.

Even Peter Reid would say no this time round, that's how bad things have got.

Its no use blaming Thorn - we've just got to hope the kids come good, because no manager will come here - would you take the job ? You've got no money - you've got to sell some of the limited assetts you do have, and all your wages will depend on a bonus if you get us promoted.

Another fine Mess!
What happens in these situations is the manager always gets the dreaded call to the Chairmans office, "where ever that is
in our case"He's so remote,it might take him til Christmas to get there.
And therein lies our problem, a faceless and uninterested board of directors, who are allowing our club to bleed to death, we bleed a gallon, and they pump in a quart, we bleed another gallon and they pump in nothing, and it does't take a Haematologist to work the maths out on that one.
Thorn may pay the price, be the sacrificial lamb, to cover the "backsides"of those who are really to blame for our sad demise, the reasons don't really need spelling out, but if I say " they've sold the cream and kept the curds" You'll know what I mean.
Wise, would be the fans choice, thats for sure, but would he or could he, work under the tight reign that Andy Thorn has had to endure, and with great Diplomacy,I might add.
Managers pay the price of failure, But I'll be sorry to see him go ,if that happens to be the case, for my own point of view, the football has been far easier on the eye, and i'd just hate for us to come under another defensive, non entity of a coach, But its my guess that oggy will get the offer, and he'll accept, thats for sure.
Another cheap fix, from a cheap orientated, Company.
REgards........Tankie..

Well it sounds like we can rule Harry out after his heart surgery.

If Oggy was given the job then I probably would commit suicide.

Not that I disagree Torchy but would taking a chance on Oggy be any bigger risk than taking on AT at the time we did.

He did alrite when he was on the coaching staff with the academy before Rioch came to the club.......or theres another option available to us, being another in house decison in Rioch himself? Maybe Boost fancies another career? Michael McBrides's been with the club for quite a few years so knows the club players well??

Ok, maybe im taking the mickey a bit there
