Going to give this a go - a thread to emphasis the positives. Vote for your favourite Coventry player from tonight's game. Feel free to post comments on why you think x, y or z was good. If you disagree or want to criticise a player, please take it to a different thread and leave this one as a place for happy thoughts! Thanks.

We scored a goal. That's got to count for something?

Murphy, keeping it to 6!

Ball scoring surprised me. I've seen nothing from him so far so hopefully this is a bit of a catalyst if Robins is likely to persevere with him.

Moussa looks a top signing, ripped their RB apart!

Gone for Murphy but only because Moussa didn't make the 90 minutes.

Also thought Reckord did very well

Moussa or Murphy for me. Can't make up my mind. Was disappointed to see Moussa go off. Was it just tactical?

Yeah guess so. Looking forward to seeing more of him though. I also thought baker had a good second half, played some good stuff

I wonder if he was made captain tonight because he has shown the fight Robins wants? And will he keep it now?

He's one of the only players i could see him giving the Captaincy too on a perminant basis.

KK just doesn't have the right attitude for it, despite his experience and hundred odd caps for Ireland.

Many people have said that one thing Baker has in spades is effort and maybe Robins has picked up on this.

Some players will respond a lot better on the pitch if they have the Captaincy.

Baker will feel the pressure a little because the lads will be looking to him for leadership and i got the feeling from tonight that he is willing to step into that role.

So heres to a much improved and consistant Captain Carl Baker!

I want to vote for 'none of the above' That was a team performance with nearly every player doing their part.

Baker for captain? Has the world gone mad?

He as pretty much said that he doesn't give 100% most games and needs a special reason to get fired up.

You appear to have included 'McSheffrey' in a post relating to MOTM. Was this a typo? I do hope so!

Think you will find that McSheffrey was MOTP rather than MOTM.

That stands for 'Maybe On The Pitch.'

Browns role in the team is to ensure Sheff is not bottom of every ratings poll. Apart from these two everyone else did ok to good. Yes Barton and Bailey gave the ball away a couple of times and were punished but they were trying. Moussa looked useful, Baker worked hard and great cross for goal. Clarke and Rekord did ok against international wingers, Wood must be fed up of covering for Fergusons revenge and Elliott worked hard but achieved little - why wasn't Cody given a chance? Overall a lot of effort and desire which is what we now want to see in every game.

Moussa made mincemeat of their RB and brought pace and skills to our team, but more importantly, showed he may have an end product! (When he put in that threatening cross...)

Bailey whilst he was up there (prob 2nd imo) he did give the ball away for 1 of their goals whereas Moussa didn't.

Toss up between Murphy and reckord for me.

Reckord had Walcott in his pocket. No mean feat. Walcott would have terrorised the sluggish Hussey.

You're joking right? Decent player and better than Hussey but "had Walcott in his pocket", are you sure?

You obviously have issues with Baker as you bring this up every time, arguably been our best player this season ( not saying much I know )

Tbf to the lad he did good. And Walcott did end up switching sides and got a lot more out of the game when up against Clarke. Walcott still got a goal from that side though so I don't think he had 'Walcott in his pocket'

Moussa gave us something we have lacked for ages-pace,plus a willingness to go and take defenders on .Thought the other 2 new lads,Reckord and Bailey, did pretty well against a top quality side.Honourable mention to Ball, who came on and looked a threat, unlike in other games when he made Platt look like a world beater.

Just to tidy this up, the clear winner was Moussa, ahead of Murphy and Baker. Let's hope he can keep it up! :claping hands:
