Said it has something to do with the loan the Wasps got from the council to buy the Ricoh? Also said the Wasps are paying back as and when they have the money, and have not paid a penny yet.

Not blaming you at all! Odd that in years they have barely managed a conversation with CCC yet have been given every last detail of the deal agreed with Wasps. Or maybe he's just talking shit.

Totally his words I couldn't make it up if I tried.
Said AEG were not interested in the Ricoh. Funny because that was the company that ML wanted to bring in?

The guys a tool, years of telling us they should own the Ricoh as they will get AEG in to run it and now they aren't getting it AEG were never interested. He's like a sulky teenager! To be honest if AEG are interested in a facility in the Midlands they'll be bidding for the NEC, that sits perfectly in the UK business, a football stadium doesn't.

Also heard at the Ground from a fan who's son is in the Academy that apparently the Wasps have put in an offer for the Higgs site lock stock and barrel..

Crossed my mind when the Higgs statement said they were getting out of sport. Could sell it to Wasps for their academy and Wasps could pick up any community stuff that is done there and take credit for it. So that will be us without a ground and an academy.

Just a Spicy Italian. Toasted steak and cheese sounds nice, though. I will try that next time.

That is a real nuclear torpedo if fired, the whole SISU strategy relies on a conveyor belt of youngsters from the academy to prop up the club.

How long does the contract SISU signed with the AHC to host the academy there run for?

There's every chance it's short term as they got kicked out for not paying the bills and by the time they returned Fisher was on about a new training complex being part of the new ground.

There you have another reason AHC are screwing over SISU, after all they built the AHC for the club (as well as to serve the community adjacent to 2 relatively deprived areas, ie Willenhall & Stoke), then SISU try & move out.. they only moved back because the centre contains specific facilities that are required by a cat 2 academy and the FA insisted they returned or they would lose their £0.5M academy grant.

Obviously if SISU maintain they're planning to abandon the centre in the near future then something has to be done about securing its long term future.

No. I would say this is pay back time for Higgs. Being accused of conspiring against SISU in court and dragged to the high court over a dispute about 29000 - which may have been settled by negotiation - has certainly annoyed them. To sell the Academy to Wasps would be a great end to their dealings with SISU. Unfortunately a tradegy for us.

Councils don't do loans on those terms- and if they did, there would be trouble. It could be however that the first repayment is not due yet. Strange that Tim knows these Details as fact and doesn't publicise it. E.g. Through private eye or Les Reid.
