Big reason I want Torp to start ahead of sheaf. Just seems to be more willing and able to play the risky passes through the middle that Wright thrives onI think it depends how we want to play as well.
The system hasn't really been the best for the centre forwards (bar Sunderland)
How bad he was at the end of last season is still burned into my brain
He has a lot to prove this season if he wants to impress Poch
Obviously. He only played the equivalent of 22 90s last season. If he plays the full season as our out-and-out 9 I reckon he hits 15+ in the league.
Full season as a 9 I would expect more than that with his ability. If he plays the full season as our out-and-out 9 I reckon he hits 15+ in the league.
Nearly every player has a while out with injury, it's the nature of the game.He is injury prone !!!!
What odds did you get?Heart over head but I've bet an each way double on Vik/ Haji to be division top scorers, which I'm hoping isn't lost by the end of August through us selling Wright
What odds did you get?
How long did he play for on Saturday? Did he look sharp?
15 mins, and didn't have any ball to look sharp with tbf.How long did he play for on Saturday? Did he look sharp?
This is why I’m hopeful as he’ll be fully motivated - he’ll want to go to the World Cup.He has a lot to prove this season if he wants to impress Poch

Imagine a decent champ season and good showing at the WC - we’ll get a great inflated fee next summer
Same applies for Rudoni if he gets his visa sorted.
We’ve got an option on his contract. He’s going to be 28 this season and I think the boat is sailing on us getting an inflated fee for him. There’s not even any transfer rumours of interest in him so far. He’ll have 1 year left on his contract after this season.

Ive also heard we have an optionHave we? Not too sure…
Let's not forget that he's missed the whole pre-season, much as he did last year. I'm pretty sure he was carrying the tendonitis after he came back, they'll have rushed him in the circumstances. It fits with the Yanks saying that he arrived injured in the summer (something that Lampard appeared to contradict.) Maybe the medical team is another aspect that that needs further invvestment too.Needs to prove himself from the off the play off games and a few before them his lack of effort was plain for all to see.Needs to be strong and showing his worth starting from Saturday if we don't attract another CF there is alot riding on him.
The first of those was a fairly open game where he had space to control the ball, look up and move forward. He is very good at that, usually. It all depends on which version of Haji we get to see.
The Haji that played the league match against Sunderland at the CBS will score a hatfull of goals.
The Haji we saw in the playoff games against Sunderland will get fuck all.
Im hoping his desire to get in the USA squad for the world cup will see him motivated to succeed.
