I thought this thread was longer than this. We've pissed it with the other Hoff thread.

Delighted about Pompey, especially as I'm moving to the outskirts of Pompey next week. A lot of my mates are Pompey or Brighton fans. Genuinely chuffed for both sets of fans.

Whereabouts ya movin' to Weeman? Hovercraft are offering £5 daily returns throughout May on every Tues, Thurs, & Sunday. Maybe have a meet up and a pint if I can get over?

Near Emsworth at the moment HH but moving to the outskirts of Farlington, the Bedhampton side. Near where the A3 meets the A27.

Next week manic with the move then off to Barbados for a week for a wedding but if you fancy a beer late May, PM me and I'll gladly have a beer with you in Gunwharf. Open offer to other South Coasters.

I'll be up for that. Only thing holding me back is a knee replacement op that I'm waiting for. Could be anytime soon. If all okay, then I'll be in touch! :emoji_ok_hand:

Makes sense to me. Fan owned club having some success on the way back up.

Michael Eisner: Portsmouth prospective owner outlines vision for club

£5.67M to buy Pompey, plus invest £10M in equity, L1 football.

Makes GH's offer reasonable surely?

His offer wasn't to buy the club so its not comparing like with like. He wanted to buy selected assets only.

I wish GH would put £5M on the table, I really think that would clinch it. Take Ryton out the equation, the club isn't worth much, most players are going, only a couple left are worth probably 100's of thousands, not millions.

Let's get to the end of May and have a South Coast Sky Blue get together. Southsea pub then train up to hill83s for gif training.

It's good to see clubs who have been run into the ground by crooked owners resurrected and back on the march! It'll be us one day.

P.s. Pompey fans don't like Cov.

I was finding this thread for that topic also. Seems like fan owned management can only get your so far and you need a bigger backer financially?

The Pompey chap said that at the trust meeting. Said exactly the same as Fisher has been saying that in L2 / L1 running at break even can work for a club of the size of Pompey or us but move up to the Championship and you're struggling to compete.

Will be interesting to see how this pans out. Buys the club for circa 5-6m but what backing does he have beyond that, they could be back to square one in a few years time? I hope he is a decent owner but they have just took all of the power out of the fans hands haven't they?

That's the worry. They have no fan representation on the board now. There's a legacy board but that has very little, if any power.

They have to approve moving from Fratton or changing from playing in blue. They also wanted a veto over changing the club crest but the new owner wouldn't have that.

Hasn't he come from Disney or something? That's what you call a Mickey Mouse club!

Not convinced. Think Sunderland will be above them. Oxford to win the division imo.

They're my bet for Champions, not much squad churn and I know they don't like him but he is an expert at getting out of that league.
