City have a poor record when playing on 1st April.
Although only 20 times in their history
we have won only 6,drew 3, lost 11
scoring 22 conceding 31
Not won on April 1st since 1991 when we beat Chelsea 1-0.
played 6 games since then losing 5,last match on April 1st was in 2008 1-1 draw at Sheff weds when Hines scored with 7 mins left.

I would imagine due to our time around the bottom end of leagues over the past 40 odd years our record on most dates would have a similar look.

Maybe we should request all our matches to be played in June & July?

Our last 2 games against Walsall, we have scored a total of 11 goals against them.

That's got to give us hope I guess

Not sure that's good enough - AT was unbeaten this season and got fired!

To the OP, this is one of those classic stats that is absolutely meaningless in terms of how we will fare tomorrow!

spot on. It's like when a team plays a team for first time in 20 years, and they lost last time.

Last time I went to Walsall it was a boring 0-0 evening game. Think that was April.
