Yeah, BTA was excellent and Simms had one of his best games and obviously got the two assists.

BTA has to get MOTM. Thought Grimes was really good and so too, Dasilva.

Don't think anyone had a bad game to be honest. MVE did well in his battle and the three at the back all looked pretty solid, though we got sloppy in the second half.

Saka looked really lively when he came on

Great three points

Simms' best game for ages. Will be harsh to bench him on Saturday.

BTA great, Saka really good off the bench.

Both wing backs were good offensively and defensively.

Kitch was excellent until he lost his man for the goal.

Gone from feeling like we had no squad depth to a real selection head ache for Saturday. Assuming we go back to 4231 which cb drops out? Feels harsh to leave Simms out and a Saka was brilliant when he came on.

I’d say Simms MOTM he created both goals. Switched off last 10 mins though looked tired .

Very hard fought result
Good to see Simms working so hard and getting 2 assists.
Grimes just does what Grimes does and makes us tick.
BTA was fantastic gets m.o.m 9/10
Everyone else 8/10.

Good tactics and selection from Frank, great to see Wright get a well earnt rest, and I expect he will be eager to get the top scorers spot back on Saturday.

Revert to back 4. Wright and Saka both straight back in. Same team that beat Blackburn.

You keep the Thomas/Kitching pairing for now. Our only weak link at the moment is left back when Dasilva goes off

Asante 9, would have been 10 if that volley went
Don’t think anyone had a bad game, concentration cost us the goal but like the poor performance against Blackburn better to have that and still win so we can learn.

Is anyone else a bit down? I almost feel we lost that conceding our clean sheet record so late. I wonder if Frank hadn't tinkered about so much all at once we would have held out. I think had there been another ten minutes on the clock we would have been in a lot of trouble. Anyway I'm off to look at the league table to cheer myself up. And at least the clean record has gone and it hasnt cost us any points.

I know we won the game and I'm thrilled but I don't think we played that well. Grimes was all over the place positionally, the defence looked really shaky to me. What was Kitching doing for their goal? Stay on your feet and they wouldn't have even had a shot.

Thought we were overrun in the midfield. A two man midfield of Grimes and Torp didn't work.

We won so its job done but I just think we could easily have let that slip with how we defended.

Don’t agree at all with respect, looked comfortable for the most part and restricted them to pot shots from distance

I agree with some of that. I don’t think the formation worked that well. They looked a really poor side but Frank got the job done so can’t moan

It’s a very different job for Grimes and Torp in that system and I don’t think either flourished. I’d have like to have seen us try two up front and another midfielder in there tbh.

Yeah I said the same thing to my mate during the game. Bring on another midfielder and go 2 up top, so 5-3-2. It would have stopped us from being overrun in the centre of midfield.

In his nine or ten minutes I saw Bidwell put a decent cross in and make a great block. I got the impression he filled in all right at the end.
