It has just emerged that the clubs owners are seeking to appeal their latest court defeat.
http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-city-fc-owners-appeal-11364456

Is this wise, is this what is wanted, is this what is needed. Whatever your reasons, do you say yes or no?

A distraction from the main event

They need to let it go - concentrate on getting the Butts deal moving.

If anyone puts yes that will really annoy me.

If someone puts yes they need to really justify it

If they demanded action to reveal the details of the Ricoh sale, the timeline, and who received what I would be 100% in support

Would that be JR2 rather that JR1?

If they do insist on carrying on can we at least move onto the sequel?

But hasn't that what's been done? It's proved both ccc and sisu are both shit and bad for the club and we are left with where we are..... Fucked

No. Simply that if for no other reason win, lose or draw I don't believe for one minute the club will benefit. I also just can't see them winning. I suspect that the only thing they'll end up proving if anything is that Wasps overpaid. At least TF will be proved right on something. Every cloud.

You can't really answer this question without speaking to their legal team. On the face of it, from what is publicly known, they should stop straight away. But despite how it often appears they aren't totally incompetent idiots (except when running a football club!) and they must have some reason for continuing.

No. But the owners will continue because it delays the day they exit and crystallise the loss on their investment in CCFC.

Biggest surprise of 2016 !! , Nick will be creaming himself with his ongoing personal determination and support in every attempt to deflect any blame from the hedge fund. Is that two courts and four judges now who have thrown them out ?
Press on with the BPA ?! what a load of tosh, it's a non starter all round but hey ho it serves to provide a cracking smokescreen for their real ambitions !!

Currently 80% of fans support Sisu in the move to the Butts - with the majority?

"If the Court of Appeal refuses Sisu’s application, the club’s owners could choose to seek permission to appeal directly from the Supreme Court".

how on earth can they appeal a lost appeal which was due to a lost appeal which was due to a lost appeal from a lost court case ?

"Hi Legal Team it's SISU, what are you thoughts - drop all the litigation and try and move forward or us continuing to pay you to progress our interest in court, despite let's be honest your track record being questionable?"

"Eeerrrrr, well we could give it another go?"

"Okey dokey, we'll send you another blank cheque"

"Fucking yes!......sorry I mean OK, speak soon."

So you think the better option when taking legal action is to ignore the advice of your legal team?

Really ?
Most fans I speak too are embarrassed with talk of our 15,000 stadium.
This board is not most fans.
Sisu have no plans to move to the Butts they are just talking about it for reasons yet to be understood.
I'll wait for the plans before I start frothing.

You only have to look at SiSu's business record.......Litigation, litigation, litigation...Whether they are right or wrong is irrelevant. They sue until the opposition cannot afford to carry on.

Shame they didn't feel the same embarrassment in themselves when they bent over for an out of town franchise. Still I suppose the lure of free tickets and hospitality will work on some people.

Just as likely as the statements made about building a stadium in 3 years, about never coming back to the Ricoh and about moving the Academy out of the Higgs centre etc. etc.
Lots of aggressive talk but never any action, its all posture to delay matters while legals proceeding continue, they'll be years of this yet.

Where did you get 80 per cent from? Can you evidence that statistic or is it one you have just plucked out of the air? At least abide by the standards you impose on other posters.

Sisu will spin this out as long as possible because they have no interest in running a football club.
They can tread water at this level indefinitely
and continue to award themselves management fees while playing the injured party.

They don't get paid in cash no, they get paid by grouping their accounts and using losses at CCFC to offset profits elsewhere, hence saving them millions in tax due !
