Some more accusations levelled at Trump.

Trump denies hiding detail of Putin talks

The interesting part of the article for me was at the bottom where they list the people connected to investigations. 6 pleaded guilty, 1 convicted, 26 charged and awaiting trial.

And also what sort of details are they handing over in return for lenient sentencing. These aren't hardened criminals for whom a couple of years inside would be nothing. They are people who will do anything they can to avoid ending up inside.

He isn’t making the point that you think he’s making. That’s the joke. You are willingly and unwittingly being the punch line.

Frankly you would look less ridiculous if you admitted that you didn’t realise that it was a spoof.

In that particular video, he’s not criticising Trump, per se, but he’s criticising the liberal left in their use of identity politics. He’s debated Owen Jones (I’m a fan of both) on political correctness and criticised identity politics in other videos. I’m a fan of Jonathan Pie.

Frankly, this video touches on the reason why Trump won. Hillary didn’t offer anything to blue collar working class people in ‘rust belt’ states, which traditionally vote Democrat. Her electoral coalition offered something to everyone apart from this demographic. In fact, Clinton didn’t even bother to campaign in Wisconsin and Michigan and ended up losing them states, they hadn’t voted Republican since Reagan. 6/10 voters felt it was ‘important’ for a presidential candidate offered ‘change’ and 80% of those who answered this way voted Trump. Clinton failed to defend the record of Obama or of American capitalism, which was perceived to be failing ordinary people in 2016. How else can we explain the rise of Sanders in the Democratic Party and Trump in the Republican Party? They were ‘change’ candidates. Sanders lead Trump by larger margins than Clinton and also seemed popular with white, working-class voters. The very demographic that made a Trump presidency possible.

In wake of Trump’s win, you have this blame game from liberals about FBI probes, Russian interference, or ‘subconscious biases’ against women (many liberals actually believe this) and all sorts of excuses as to why Clinton lost. The reality is, the problems are closer to home. The same people who voted Obama in 2012, and/or were willing to vote for Sanders (a Jewishness socialist) over Trump can’t be described as this homogenous mob of angry, racist, xenophobic white people, as it was framed by some.

If I was an American voter, I would have very reluctantly voted for Clinton, but she was a terrible candidate to run v Trump and her campaign was lazy and complacent. Take a second to compare the campaign slogans: Clinton’s ‘I’m With Her’ versus Trump’s ‘Male America Great Again’ is quite telling.

A few Jonathan Pie videos for context:

That main kid just stands there really close, obviously trying to intimidate the poor old bloke. Fair play to him for continuing unabated.

It does make me laugh when Trump and his followers go on about the issues of immigration. Try telling that to a Native American.

I don't know why this thread is still going. The question is 'how long will Trump be president' and the answer has always been and continues to be, far too long.

You stated an opinion as a fact and without any real vested interest in it

Polls suggest he will be elected for another term

Missing my point though.

He is a vile individual. I find him thoroughly dishonest, racist, nasty, spiteful, disingenuous, misogynistic, hateful, vengeful and intransigent.

He simply should be no-where near the seat of power. I think he is a loathsome man. Just what sort of example is he setting to the future generation of American kids? He is a tub thumper, spewing hatred and stiring up raw aggressive emotions.

He hasn’t turned anything around overnight. If you know as much about economics as you think you do you would understand that. It takes years to turn a country around from the recession Obama inherited. Trump is reaping the rewards from the work of those who went before him, nothing else.

Polls are pointless at this stage. When the Democrat challenger is selected they might be worthy of consideration.

They are just starting selections and the indications are they want by US standards a liberal left wing thinker.

Bye bye if that’s who they choose.

I’m sure no one likes Trump but his tax reduction strategy has worked as has his approach to business tax. Until December the American stock market grew like it never had in a year and businesses recorded record profits. Unemployment at a 50 year low. In the end people vote with what they value which tends not to be emotional but economical.

correct, and if it's anyone but that sociopath Hilary he'll be gone. But I think she'll run again, she's a megalomaniac.

shes already indicated she'll try for the nomination again.
You think overwhelming evidence of how unpopular she is will deter her?

‘We needed Trump to survive’ – in this area of Texas, Trump is deemed a success

Roberts county, in the panhandle, goes some way to show the extent of unwavering support that remains among Trump’s base

So when is it unwavering from exactly? About the 1920’s from what I can see. That can’t be down to Trump.

But as the article tells you it’s always been that way in the region. There’s no Trump effect either positive or negative. Nothing has wavered.

I may so pleased the bully has had to back down. It’s a great thing for world politics and you know what fair play to him for doing so. If democracy in the USA is the answer though you have to ask what was the question

After this latest "sate of emergency" to get funds for the wall, there is a growing part of me that really wants it to get built, so when it is and the immigrants and the drugs still continue to pour into America he can no longer use the excuse that it's because his wall wasn't built. Plus if the funding gets taken from the military budget it's at least a bit less they can spend on blowing the shit out of other places to 'liberate' them (is that how you spell it? Doesn't look right for some reason - maybe it's spelt 'oil'?)

Dumb fuckers that support him will still blame liberals and just say "we need more money to protect the border" (even though most of them are inherently opposed to tax)
