I do genuinely fear he will!

An anti-establishment ticket pissing off the establishment won't do as much harm as it usually would.

But then again you may want to google 'Walkaway Campaign' and see how many democrat voters are either not going to vote or vote for republicans in the next election.

Donald Trump's future: Why eight years of rule is quite possible

Image: Supporters of Donald Trump in the Mid West town of Elkhart, Indiana

...you can't sit in Elitesville, USA and gauge where Mr Trump is as midterm elections loom. You need to go to Trumpsville. You need to go to the Mid West to understand why the president won, why he still has strong support and why he has every chance of winning again.

It is a region of small towns and rural attitudes where communities have suffered the devastating effects of de-industrialisation.

They are communities where factories have closed and jobs have been shipped overseas.

And they are populated by voters who were particularly receptive to the Trump message focused on jobs, immigration and unfair trade agreements - a message delivered with an accompanying broadside against the political classes and the establishment.

US media attack Trump's 'dirty war'

Looks like the press are rounding on Trump. Some of the statistics mentioned in the article about Republican voters are worrying.

Not a good day for Trump to say the least
Ex-Trump campaign chief Paul Manafort has been found guilty on eight charges of tax fraud, bank fraud and failing to disclose foreign banks accounts.

It was the first criminal trial arising from the justice department probe into alleged Russian election meddling.

The judge also said he had been receiving threats related to the Manafort case and was under US Marshal Service protection.

He added that he would not release juror names due to safety concerns.

US President Donald Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen has pleaded guilty in a Manhattan court to violating campaign finance laws.

He said he did so at the direction of "the candidate", acting for the "purpose of influencing the election".

His days are surely numbered now...

The head of the western worlds largest democracy allied and associated with so many dubious and now proven corrupt people? Can only be a matter of time.

You'd think so but his supporters don't seem bothered about anything like this. When he was caught on tape the other day using the n word they were saying if anything it would increase his approval rating.

The world has gone mad. It will need the republican party to get rid of him and they won't do that unless they are under threat themselves.

You may be right. Just read of how politicians from both sides of US politics all need to be in agreement before the impeachment process can get underway. No President has ever been ousted as a result of the process.

Depressing stuff.

It all depends on how the midterms go in November. A massive surge towards the Democrats and his party might feel they are better off without him. To be honest though, would Pence be much different?

America is a basket case so Trump will fit in nicely.
Throughout history many of their presidents have been sex maniacs and dodgy, but the people accepted that, so we all know Trump has had affairs and been up to all sorts of dodgy dealings, but he'll go from strength to strength. He is a joke but a dangerous one !

At least Trump is getting things done.
And no I don't agree with everything he is doing.
But when you get things done, you ruffle feathers because the establishment wants things to remain the same.
What has Theresa May done lately?

Trump is reckless and things that he is getting done are costing trillions ( military spending, highest tax cuts for the richest ), or not working ( e.g. North Korea or customs tariffs which are having negative effects in the USA). Wages are not rising for the working class.

I think I prefer May to Trump, which is saying something.

Anyone following the Kavanaugh confirmation hearing, its nuts.

I know under Trump pretty much anything goes but surely they can't confirm his appointment after this?

It may be bluff as Devin Nunes is behind it. He his a despicable arse creeper. He even came to the UK in his holidays looking for dirt on Steele from MI5 and MI6. The top people wouldn’t have anything to do with him as they thought he would release any information he got. He was told Steele has good track record and was reliable. That was all he got.

Bombshell: your source is a well know click bait fake news site.

The Misleading Half-Truths of YourNewsWire’s Baxter Dmitry & Sean Adl-Tabatabai: Sources of MISINFORMATION and DISINFORMATION

Do you seriously think people go around with an envelope „literally full of money“ and pay out cash in the street? Especially to a woman in distinctive clothing? Enough people are alarmed at this right wing „get out of jail“ card for Trump without taking bribes. Seems like it was staged and gets the clicks from the target market.

Watching the BBC World News tonight 'reporting' on Trump's new trade tariffs on China, they allowed someone who is totally opposed to Trump's trade policy to ramble on about seven minutes - totally unchallenged - whilst not even attempting to seek a contrary opinion from someone who supports his trade policy.

His most controversial statement was that "Blue collar workers would be worse off".

If you were a blue-collar worker living in America would you rather:

a) Pay 25% less for an imported flat-screen television? or:

b) Still have a job and be able to feed your kids and keep a roof over their heads?

Tough one eh?

China isn't in any position to 'retaliate'. Neither is the EU or 'Germany' as it used to be called.
