What is the problem with the CBS?

Cov is so accessible for most teams, big allocation as well

So yesterday we tried to go up the hill towards the A444 but the police did not let anyone go up the hill.
The idiots said you have to walk under the tunnel (to the away supporters in their coaches) to then have to cross the fucking A444.
Who the hell thinks that’s a good idea!

side note - never saw so much trouble at cov games, every game there is some sort of fight. One before the game around block 14 as QPR fans were walking through, they were obviously looking for trouble

Yeah and then dangerously walk back across A444, ridiculous.

There's a great big car park right where the away fans come out. Surely the obvious solution is to make that away parking and have

I wouldn't necessarily say morons but in terms of how football games are worked I know the last chap they had in charge came with no prior experience of sporting events and I have a feeling the same is true of his replacement. I would suggest that running football matches is a different skill set to pretty much any other event, sure there will be a lot of crossover but there's also issues to deal with that you won't experience at other events.

Having said that its not just our match days which seem to have issues. There's been problems at several events in the hall, I know they had issues at Insomnia (the computer games thing) and there's been trouble at multiple music events. Friend of a friend is tour manager of an artist who played there and said there was so many issues getting people into the building he had to take direct control to avoid trouble kicking off. Similarly its not just our events in the stadium that have issues. The Spice Girls show was so badly organised that it made the national press and the MTV and Rihanna shows both had significant issues, in fact the MTV thing was supposed to come back the next year and ended up moving somewhere else.

When there's problems at multiple events that don't occur at similar events elsewhere you have to question where the fault lies. Its either that the people of Coventry are so much worse behaved than the rest of the country that we can't be trusted to have events here or that there's an issue with the way events are being run.

Unless you know them personally Pete, it is easy to think they are.
There is a f****** great big car park directly outside the away end. All their coaches could be parked there.
They could also put double deckers, on to take away fans directly to the train station. It’s not rocket science, even most of us on here can see the solution, why can’t they ?

Agree. I've done every away day except Bournemouth, seen no trouble although loads of Cov idiots giving it the big one outside Sheff train station at 10am in the morning.

I'm not anti drugs per se.

But cocaine is a particularly bad chemical to mix with alcohol and tribalism.

Little dab of MDMA instead. Problem solved.

We've seen a lot of trouble because teams like QPR are bringing bigger followings than they usually do so attract extra idiots that wouldn't go.

The number of away fans at the Ricoh this season must be the highest in the division.

I think this will always remain a problem until such time as home support increases to an extent that aways allocation has to be cut to accommodate our own fans.

Easy way to stop drugs is having sniffer dogs around the entrances. It soon stops it

Drugs dogs are shite. They're more of a psychological deterrent for people that don't know how shite they are.

Its not actually true. But they can only work effectively for a short period of time.
So a lot ofthe dogs yousee at festivals are either out of the zone or trainees that are basically there for effect.

They’re only really useful when being put to search an area like a house or car for something hiding when they are incredibly effective. Big crowds in open spaces with lots going on and different smells all the time and they’re not all they’re cracked up to be.

NEWS: Club Statement regarding Pitch Incursions

Over recent months, we have seen an increase of supporters entering the field of play – whether following a goal or during the game itself – both at Coventry City games and matches up and down the country at other Football Clubs.

Is this because of the one solitary kid on Tuesday night? The steward even lifted him back over the hoardings, like a forgiving Grandad would.
We all know it's against the Law but feck me, it was funny.

with regard to away fans, they always used to bring the coaches to carpark B in the past, especially on bubble trips like Cardiff. no reason why they can't again with big followings surely.
